Firefox shaking / jumping bug

Not usually. Get rid of the bookmarks toolbar and see if it keeps going. It does it with themes, might be the vista theme doing it.

So I got a new laptop with Vista on it...and now, after like 5 hours of going on the internet, everytime I use Firefox to browse websites, the browser SHAKES. It's freakin annoying! What is this shake and how do I get rid of it?

Title Changed- to better reflect problem

^ That's what I heard but why does it have to freakin' SHAKE?

I'm not sure. Is your tool bar empty? Mine doesn't shake but I created about 10 folders on it and it stopped.

The title is correct. This is not a Firefox problem but yet another software application compatibility issue with Vista. It's pointless to say the problem is with Firefox when other operating systems don't report the same problem (OS X, Linux, XP, etc).

Defending Vista at all costs does not help fix problems. Microsoft needs to know all of the problems with Vista so SP1 will benefit us all.

No, this happened in XP as well. For some reason, when you delete the default links in the bookmarks tool bar, and only have a couple of links, it makes the browser 'shake'. By adding more shortcuts it fixes the issue (I have no idea what causes it or why adding more links fixes it).

It is a known issue with Firefox, and it occurs across multiple platforms.

wtf? what kind of wacko bug is this? shaking windows?? anyone care to elaborate?

It's a known Firefox bug. If you have the Bookmarks Toolbar enabled, but don't have any links in it, the entire browser shakes. It's annoying when you're first setting up the browser and delete the crap it comes with, it shakes until you get a chance to put stuff in there.

I have loaded Firefox 2.0.0.3 in Vista. The issue is that the webpages are shaking up and down to where it looks like its vibrating. This doesn't happen in IE or any other app. Any ideas?
