Guest Jeremy of Many
You do know that Firefox has its own forum, right? Try Opera, even better.
thefonz
Oops sorry. No, its a straight new install onto vista. What is Opera? Why is this beter than Firefox? Ive always used FF... Could it be a graphics card issue?
Nashy
Not usually. Get rid of the bookmarks toolbar and see if it keeps going. It does it with themes, might be the vista theme doing it.

XerXis
shouldn't the thread title be: wtf is wrong with firefox, identify your problem before complaining ;)
cmc482
i've found if you install and use a different theme then the default it stops shaking. Sucks ya but I do like the IE7 skin for firefox... myFireFox Theme.... I had the same problem this was the only way it would stop. Lexcyn
^ That's what I heard but why does it have to freakin' SHAKE? I'm not sure. Is your tool bar empty? Mine doesn't shake but I created about 10 folders on it and it stopped.

tcsdoc
The title is correct. This is not a Firefox problem but yet another software application compatibility issue with Vista. It's pointless to say the problem is with Firefox when other operating systems don't report the same problem (OS X, Linux, XP, etc). Defending Vista at all costs does not help fix problems. Microsoft needs to know all of the problems with Vista so SP1 will benefit us all.
jimbo12141
It shakes if you do not have any Bookmarks in the toolbar, its a known bug in firefox, nothing to do with Vista...
JustGeorge
This one is nice in Vista as well :) http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/44508564/

For some reason, when you delete the default links in the bookmarks tool bar, and only have a couple of links, it makes the browser 'shake'. By adding more shortcuts it fixes the issue (I have no idea what causes it or why adding more links fixes it).

PsyOpWarlord
Yea the bug has been around for years (at least since 2004) ... Here are the steps to take: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Window_shakes
adcmarti
I have loaded Firefox 2.0.0.3 in Vista. The issue is that the webpages are shaking up and down to where it looks like its vibrating. This doesn't happen in IE or any other app. Any ideas?
[bear]
back in xp this issue was related to a 3rd party theme being installed. Did you install any third party themes in vista or firefox?
adcmarti
Are you kidding...Nice bug. Add a bookmark in that toolbar and it stops. Nice sarcasm by the way :) Thanks anyway.
