AimLXJ
I was googling and I stumbled upon this: http://useruploads.mythica.org/view/GoW_Th...able_of_Lag.wmv I bet everyone experienced that, at first I thought it it was part of the gameitself, not the hit detection, so I gusse I was wrong, so whats your idea o this? To me it doesn't bother, aslong as my character doesn't teleport everywhere i'm fine ^.^ ( Jesus Christ, it feels like i'm back into Counter-Strike: Source hit detection ) Edited January 11, 2007 by BlackShadow
Rodrigo
Now you made me sad... I want client-hit detection in GOW NOW! :p You guys think Epic will add it?
lol911
I agree the host has an unfair advantage when using the shotgun, but I have never noticed much lag when playing GoW online. Just don't play on servers that are hosting with 56k and add negative feedback for it.

I don't think so, because I already know a game that does that and theres many people abusing the client-hit by unplugging their ethernet chord, UDP Flood etc.. Ayepecks
Now you made me sad... I want client-hit detection in GOW NOW! :pYou guys think Epic will add it? No, they won't. All Epic's games are server-/host-side hit detection. They refuse to add client-side because of the high possibility of cheating. They even said this much on the official Gears of War message boards. Yea which i'm really happy for, but for me I just just do prediction aim with my guns when i'm not the host =P
DR3AMxCATCHER
When I play gears and there is some lag..I do a bullet test. Meaning I shoot a shotgun round into a sand bag to see how fast it gets there..then if it's laggy enough and I'm in battle..I pre-aim my shot. Only way around it.
