Syanide
Well, this came out of nowhere on the mini spy, but definitely my favorite movie of 2006, next to Children of Men.
nubs
This movie was fantastic. I loved the ending. Actually I loved the entire thing. I also love Guillermo del Toro's sense of style. He did the same think with the Angel of Death in Hellboy 2.
Solid Knight
Did you see the scene where the bad guy smashes in the face of that other dude with his pistol?
nubs
Yeah, gruesome.
Xilo
Something about the Spanish language makes me not able to take it seriously. One reason why i've never watched the whole thing. :/
nubs
I'm betting they will remake it in English, but it won't be nearly as good.
Neo003
I saw this movie long time ago, it was really good but tbh at first I thought it was in english. I was really disappointed but still enjoyed the read.
ichi
I have two issues with this movie, which otherwise I would have thoroughly enjoyed. -First, I'm fed up with movies about the Spanish civil war, more so when they are all highly biased depictions of a war were cruelty was dealt from both camps. It follows a trend of stirring **** up that's well aligned with certain agendas. -Second (and closely related with the first point) the movie was advertised here as a pure fantasy movie, in the same line as 1986's Labyrinth. And I say that it's related with the above because they probably did that on purpose, knowing the civil war movies don't sell over here. Other than that the movie is certainly well done. Aaron Olive
i hate subtitles but it was okay, i just can't bare to watch it again because of it and they should have dubbed it.
Lqv2015
I thought it didn't have enough fantasy elements in the film. I would certainly like to see more. Guillermo Del Toro is a genius in his visuals.
Amarell
interesting one. will watch it again definitely, because it's worth it. 9.5/10 and I loved the fact it was in Spanish :)
