Inertia
ive just changed from 1152x864 to 1280x1024 on my 19" crt monitor, i just wanted to notch it up a tiny bit , but the next 2 resolutions up 1280x720, and 1280x768 are horribly out of proportion, does anyone actualy use those resolutions, if so how do u put up with it, if not why the hell are they there ? btw i ran at 1152x864 on my 17" monitor last year and 1024x768 on my 15" the year b4 :) does running higher resolutions stress monitors more and make them die sooner, i have a spare 14" which i run on my server, i can have that at 1024x768 on 60hz for about 30 mins then it goes off, but if i have it on 800x600 for a month , no problems. :D

If you want to create a custom resolution then you can use a program called PowerStrip - http://www.entechtaiwan.com/ps.htm - I use it for a custom resolution of 1088 x 816 on a 17" monitor.
