addc182
Im interested in buying it and i've had mixed reviews, what do you suggest? will it keep me away from GOW?
Shadrack
I am also curious as how well this game is being received. I'm about FPS/action shootered out recently, so I may wait till I see this one on the used shelf unless it is really good.
DarkGashX
Alot of people on my friends list say they cannot get enough and EXTREME difficulty makes GoW's insane look like easy.
+virtorio MVC Posted January 16, 2007 MVC Share Posted January 16, 2007 I was uninspired by the demo, then again I only played it for a few minutes and I don't think it is based on the final version of the game.
realmccoy
Rent it!, if you really like then by all means buy it.
Shadrack
Rent it!, if you really like then by all means buy it. Meh... i may download the demo or something. Places around here still charge freaking $6 to rent it. If it is a good game and enough people think so then I'll just buy it.
LOC Veteran Posted January 16, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 16, 2007 Yes buy it. Even if you don't like the singleplayer (which is fun as hell imo) the multiplayer freaking rocks. Fun as all hell.

I cannot agree with you more there, one of the best Team games ever. I heard about co-op may come in a patch also.
OhMuffin
No, I tried the demo and found it sooooo boring.. I'll stick with Gears.
StandingInAlley
I am thinking to buy Lost Planet too, i think the demo was a bit difficult tbh Should i get COD3 or Lost Planet ?
magik
I really wasn't impressed by the Demo either. I will still rent it though, since I have a renting service. Give it another go.

Remysaus
the singleplayer is intense, but not really replayable, as it get's old pretty fast. but the multiplayer, damn, at first i didn't like it at all, gave it a few more tries and now I've got the hang of it, it's one of the most addictive games I've ever played. def. worth the buy. PiracyX
My recommendation would be no. If you play the demo you actually find its a pretty boring game. I was so looking forward to this but this doesnt warrant the ?39.99 for it. Maybe if it dropped to ?15 i would consider it again. Gears is just so much better. The single player demo doesn't even show off a fraction of the actual single player gameplay. The levels are based off of real levels, but they're pretty much the two first missions, meant to lead you into the game. The levels progressively get much harder, and the boss battles arintensei>. I say yes, buy it. I haven't had this much fun with a game in a while, and that includes Gears of War, truthfully.

I must concur, although GOWS is very close behind it, I have not enjoyed a Single Player game this much since Resident Evil 4, and it is not a coincidence that Capcom made them both IMO. For what it lacks in not being the most diverse of games, it makes up for in action, intensity, and those pretty damn visuals. I have yet to even try the Multiplayer yet believe it or not. I like to beat the Single Player first then play Multiplayer, makes me feel like I did some training or something. LOL

CNSBarry
I rather like Lost Planet, at first i thought it was a really average game but the later levels really elevate the game to a much better stance, it's certainly recommended by me. Plus, i've probably put more hours into the Multiplayer on this than any other game i have for 360 (except maybe, just maybe Gears). Watch out for the Japanese though - the spawn camping (censored). SimplySchizo
I didn't like either Demo. I get bored of the same scenery. Snow, snow, warehouse/building maybe, more snow. Reminds me of Farcry. All that jungle made me feel like swinging from a tree. MP... meh. R6V is all one would need as far as mp goes on 360 atm.
Arbiter
A friend of mine called me today to warn me that it's not worth getting. I already knew this (though I did enjoy the demo). I'd probably give it a fair chance, but I have too many other games to play right now.

All that jungle made me feel like swinging from a tree. that is untrue, the first half is mostly snow, but after that there are lots of parts without snow (actually lava), weird that you still need to keep yourself warm though when standing next to a stream of hot lava :p
NoLiMiT06
To be honest I don't really care for the game. Online is fun at times but the maps are friggin huge. I just can't get used to the controls, guess I was spoiled by Gears  But it won't hurt you to rent it before you buy it.
