It's under personalize->themes, IIRC (not on my Vista box atm). May have some issues with the intel card, may not. Let us know how it goes!

LG S1-P3B3A:

Core Duo 2GHz

1GB Ram

ATI X1600 256MB

Runs just as fast as XP, if not faster. Flawless aero and flip-3d.

See specs below. (only thing that gives me the lower ratings is the hard drive, as 5400rpm to laptop)

AMD Turion64 X2 TL-60

2GB DDR2 RAM

NVIDIA Geforce Go 7200 256MB

120GB 5400RPM SATA HD

Running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 with no problems at all. It also seems faster than XP Pro to me. I can't really judge gaming yet since NVIDIA hasn't came out with decent drivers yet.

inspiron 6400

1 gig ram

T2400 Core Duo

Radeon x1400

it works perfectly fine when connected to AC power...but when running off the battery it becomes extremely laggy

Similar here... 2GB RAM.

No complaints. It seems to take longer to get a logon screen than RC1 did, but running it's great. Haven't used it without power much whilst installing things from CD, but it's not too bad...

Power management is all much better too. Windows Experience score is 3.7.

It's usable, but could be much better. Aero Glass work but it's not fast. With Vista Ultimate.

Probably going back to XP, it was much more faster with it.

See spec in sig.

Works very well, first few days were quite slow, but now pretty much everything has been indexed, it runs faster than XP:

P4 2.66

My laptop:

Pentium M 1.86Ghz

1GB RAM

60GB HD

Radeon X600 (128MB)

1920 x 1200

Everything runs great. Only thing I may get down the line is another 1GB stick, but it runs plenty fast right now.

Is anyone running Vista off a 1.06 Pentium M and 1 GB of RAM? If so, is it slow?

ThinkPad T43

From IBM: P M 750 1.86GHz, 14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD, 64MB ATI Radeon X300, Wireless upgradeable(MPCI), Modem(CDC), 1Gb Ethernet(LOM), UltraNav, Secure Chip, Fingerprint Reader

Running Windows Vista Business. Runs excellent. The power management features are better than XP and keep my processor running at it's top speed when plugged in. XP sometimes decided to clock it down. The auto defrag keeps it running smoothly too. Overall I am very impressed. IBM does not currently have any support for the fingerprint reader in vista, but everything else works. Aero runs fine with no aero-related slowdowns.

Asus W2J

Core Duo 2.0 Ghz

2GB Ram

ATI Mobility Radeon x1600

Running Vista Ultimate absolutely perfectly (the only problem is the volume controls don't work, which are hooked into realteks driver), battery life is maybe 5% less than under XP

Hi, just want to ask how much does a HDD space consumed after a clean install of vista, let say Vista Ultimate...

The biggest problem with Vista is the all the extra stuff that takes up disk space. Mine for example makes a 2gb pagefile, along with another almost 2g hibernation file, and mine also wasted another 4G in restore files... all on a 40g laptop drive. That doesn't even count indexing files... or who knows what else (microsoft likes to hide their files).

i will disable the system restoration and hibernation file... sigh...

HP DV6105 ~ AMD Turion 64 2.0Ghz (O/C to 2.2Ghz), 1GB PC5400 RAM, 80GB 7200rpm, Broadcom 802.11g wireless

- Aero works

- Good speed

- No lock ups

- No real problems

Aside from Madden freezing up during kick-offs and field goals, and NFS Carbon not working, I am happy with it.
