Elliott
Then there's two of you freaks. If being perfectly happy with Fable, Halo, Jet Set Radio Future, and MechAssault (plus the obvious multiplatform games like Prince of Persia) makes me a freak, then I'm fine with being called a freak. Elliott
Four games (one of which is multi platform) made the Xbox the perfect console for you? Four exclusive series' that I really enjoyed, plus the numerous multiplatform games, made it the perfect match for me. About the only exclusive I enjoyed on PS2 was God of War, and the only one on GameCube was Super Smash Brothers Melee. I had other exclusive games that I enjoyed, like Blinx and Unreal Championship. Remysaus
Then there's two of you freaks. three* although i wanted to get a ps2 at first, after playing it at some friends i wasn't really impressed and thought it was too expensive anyhow, by the time i finally got the money, i just went for the xbox with halo 1 and damn was that a good choice :)
+virtorio MVC Posted January 18, 2007 MVC Share Posted January 18, 2007 The Xbox 360 was the first console I've owned (actually even played) since my Mega Drive died back in 1995.

ynnoj
I would of considered myself a Sony fanboy prior to my 360 purchase. Just need a Wii now
(V)eGa
Four  I loved my first Xbox and I'm the reason most of my friends that didn't own the first xbox have a 360. The first xbox had lots of cool games. Fable was ok. I love JSR Future and a ton of other xbox 1 games. I still think Madden plays better on the original xbox than on the 360. The 360 version just looks better but like most EA games, they play like crap. Only game that I think plays pretty good is the Need for Speed games on the 360 and even then, I hate Carbon but love Most Wanted.

instant.human
wow, that more or less means they doupled the sales from the original xbox. i loved my xbox. halo, jet set radio future, onimusha, morrowind, fable, i even liked that racing game, i forgot the name. :)

Ryne
I'm in this category as well. Never liked the Xbox's lineup, for me I felt it was too "shooter" centric, and didn't have a wide variety of choices. The exlcusives didn't draw me to it as well; however, I did play a few Xbox games. Instead I just owned a PS2 and GC. I got the 360 in hopes of a broader lineup of games, but it hasn't panned out for me yet. There are some upcoming releases that will make me feel a bit better about it though. Slimy
So, either MS is creating their own market of gamers (but I think that's the Wii's job) or MS is stealing users from Nintendo and Sony. OR, people are getting richer and plan to get a 360 as well as the next generation of the console they had before. Interesting.
MGS4-SS
Half the people who bought a 360 are noobs :D Nah, its great to know that the console is reaching out to those who didn't buy the first one (for whatever reason). What I find strange is that... are there really people who didn't enjoy the Xbox, so the reached the conclusion that the X360 was not worth a shot? Or is it the price? Or is it the games? Kupo-Cheer
What's the big surprise here? The Xbox was Microsoft's first dip into the console realm, so of course people were a little leery to jump in. They also so happened to do quite a bit wrong the first time, and didn't have a whole lot of killer, exclusive content to offer. Things are different with the 360, at least for now. For the time being, they have the advantage of having quite a few exclusive and downright great games (Gears of War and Dead Rising are *the* two things that sold me on it). It also had the advantage of being well established around the holiday, so people looking for a new console who couldn't get their hands on the others grabbed it up instead. JohnMarsten
I didn't have an Xbox 1 or never considered it, actually I hated it. Brandon Live Veteran Posted January 19, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 19, 2007 How do they know they didn't? Who knows... I think they ask you when you register your 360 - so that could be it.

TokyoKiller
Count me in too for the new Xbox owners club. I've always hated the first Xbox, I thought it was ugly, bulky and a rushed product that was never well thought through. The games were "meh" compared to Playstation 2's and Gamecube's. Although I am a PC Gamer, I got tired of the expenses of PC Gaming that have to be carried out every 6 months to keep up with games, and of course we all want to play our games the way they're meant to be played so what is the point of playing a game on its lowest graphics settings and resolution? The Xbox 360 is the most promising from the 3 consoles in my opinion, it offers a good selection of games that everyone can enjoy while delivering impressive graphics and technology at a reasonable price, basically the middle man between the Wii and Playstation 3, just like how the Playstation 2 was in the last generation. Ironman273
I had the original XBox but no Live. After my warranty was up I modded it and used it as a media center. I sort of miss it but my 360 is awesome.
Heyo
Megadrive->SNES->PS1->PS2->GameCube->360->Wii I missed the first XBox as well. It was just too ugly and there was nothing exciting enough on it to justify the purchase of a 3rd console. Passing on the PS3 this round. It's funny, now I can't wait till the next Xbox already. I didnt think the games were all that great so i backed away for awhile until i modded it.. now it just collects dust that I have a media center PC linked to my 360.
