Meshuggah
Might wanna hold off on the purchase right now. (800 Points) http://www.2old2play.com/News/New_Call_Of_...aps_Do_Not_Work It seems as though gamers who download the new Valor Map Pack for the Xbox 360 are in for a surprise. None of the maps work. After an already buggy start with it's release (lets not forget about COD2), Call of Duty 3 has yet again released content that at this point seems %100 non-functioning. Once you pay your money, download the map pack, and boot up the game you will find that none of the new maps are even available at the map selection menu. Some have reported workarounds, but nothing is actually confirmed at this point. It seems as though deleting the free map, Champs, can sometimes unlock your paid for content. After the countless fumbles with the Call of Duty franchise, it appears as though gamers are finally fed up. The message boards over at Xbox.com are already filled with hate mail, threats of law suits (yeah sure), and vows of abstinence from the COD games. Normally we would link to just one thread, but at this time simply heading over to the Call of Duty 3 forum will uncover a multitude of angry gamer threads. Our suggestion at this point is to wait before you buy and download the map pack. There is still no word from TreyArch, creators of Call of Duty 3. Update: A member of the TreyArch team has respond in a thread on the Xbox forums stating, "We understand that there are problems with the Valor map pack once it is downloaded - we are working closely with Microsoft on this right now, and we will have the issue resolved as soon as we possibly can. Please hold tight, and I will follow up with an update as soon as we're closer to a solution." Well at least they know about. The first step is admitting you have a problem right? I wish I downloaded them before they pulled them, because I would have demanded my 800 points back, and not given up until I got them.

DirtyLarry Veteran Posted January 19, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 19, 2007 even if they are working on an update to correct it? "All purchases are final. No refunds." I am stingy as hell man, I would have complained like a madman LOL My argument would have been all purchases on working items are final. Then keep them on my hard drive, wait for the patch, and I got me some free Maps. (Y) Honestly I know it would not work, but I would argue anyway. Just to make a point.
