Mario Kart Double Dash with Xbox Live would be one of the best arcade games ever! too bad it will never happen!

I see no reason why they wouldn't increase it. There's nothing stopping them doing so.

Actually there is. Core pack owners. :(

Edit- weird when I edited my post my sig disappeared lol

You will never see any n64 games on xbla because they are Nintendo games. Nintendo has a download service for the wii and it has n64 games available for it now. Along with then NES and the Super NES. The developer is under contract with who ever they make the game for and the developer pays a licensing fee to the console it uses that is why it took so long to bring GTA to the xbox because they were under contract with Sony. Nintendo will make sure that all the n64 games will only be available for the WII that will stop Microsoft from taking that market.

If MS owns RARE, then wouldn't they own rights to the game/code? It would be nice to see the 2 companies come to some sort of agreement that they could both use the title in their download services, since they both seem to own part of the game....

...I fail to see your point. Microsoft would still have to ask Nintendo's permission to use some of their IP products Rare borrowed. The statement you linked to only involves Nintendo not having Rare titles on the Wii -- it is not indicative that Rare titles will be on Live Arcade.

Not true at all. GTA took a while because Rockstar (or Take Two or whoever) signed a special agreement with Sony saying they would get 6 months or so of exclusivity. That does not apply to something like NES/SNES/N64 games. Just look at Street Fighter II and Mortak Kombat - already on XBLA.

Regarding GoldenEye - I think the only party besides MS/Rare that could have a say might be Activision - as I think they currently own the license to the Bond franchise.

Fact is it still came to other consoles eventually. Nintendo only has the rights to certain games, most they dont control. I dont know about Rareware games since Nintendo did own them at the time but most of the N64 games could be ported depending on what game you wanted to port.
