NO surprise here... They really made this game stand out from the rest of the games out there. I hope that other developers follow their example and try to bring some freshness in the upcoming games.

This game is a masterpiece, and it deserves all the attention it gets. Its a fresh new series, and I hope they don't mess it up with the future releases.

Great work Epic, give yourselves a pat in the back! :D

This game is selling well purely because it's a superior game. It's not going off of previous successes like Halo 1 and 2, which makes it truly amazing how well GoW is actually doing.

Guess I'm the only person who doesn't like this game then?

I found it to be short, repetitive and boring.

Looks nice, but, it's really nothing new or out of the ordinary.

sure it's too short and sure it's kinda repetitive but i wouldn't say boring. Play it on Insane and it's tons of fun then and make you play a lil better since you can't just run in and shoot everything. So with this said, it takes longer when you have to be careful and makes the game more fun since you have to think instead of just running guns blazing.

Interesting to know, but what I take out of it from playing the game is the remarkable rise in sales helps explain the remarkable rise of complete douche-bags playing online.

Now, more often than not, when I play online in ranked matches, there exists at least one to two incredibly annoying and/or rude and/or just completely immature people playing. Sometimes it is entire teams, and I have even been fortunate enough to play with 7 complete idiots more than once.

I realize that with any situation where there is a large amount of people in a setting, the chances of coming across a few bad eggs are higher, but it really has made a game I once enjoyed tremendously almost unbearable. I have really noticed it in the past two weeks or so.

Yes, I know I can mute them. Yes, I know I can just not listen.

I am now doing both frequently. It is just a shame I am basically forced to do either.

Just a story from the other side of the coin.

Oh I cannot agree with you more, I got the game around December 1st, about 5 days after getting my Xbox 360. I played MP more than SP, but now I just can't stand going online with GOW.

Even on Insane it's still boring and repetitive IMO. I'm not a run in guns blazing type of player, hence why I'm more into games like GRAW and the like. The multiplayer is poor. The only things I did like were the co-op story mode option (bit less boring than playing solo) and it was nice graphically. I found the control system flawed as well.

Anyone else notice how many copies are in the pre-owned bins in the shops, even the day after release?

It was engaging and just plain FUN. The control system was not flawed for me, it was brilliant... to be able to control my character in third person so well, being able to take cover wherever and whenever I wanted with a press of a button, and having accurate shooting and aiming. The solo mode could be a little bit repetative, but not as much as games like Halo etc. and it was always in a fresh environment with the occasional new character and gameplay element thrown in. I played mostly co-op throughout the game and it was definately fun!

And GoW is a "run in guns blazing" type of game? :p

You're the first person I've ever seen say that. GoW is just like GRAW, RS:V... in that they're all games that are built around cover. None of them are "run-in-guns-blazing."

Hmm maybe in Ireland. But here in California, where I live, GoW was sold out for weeks. I was lucky to get a copy on the release day, my friend had to wait for a couple of weeks before he got his copy.

I do agree though that now, that there are more people online, you tend to run into idiots more often.
