Damn that looks good. It's a shame they can't work more on facial expressions, but otherwise, this is the game that will be why I get a 360. So much for picking up that smartphone instead lol. Thanks.

I must say, the graphics for this game are really good. I never used to enjoy the graphics of MLB games. But wow. This one is nice. I might even get it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the improvements were solely due to the hiring of quite a few people from the old EA MVP team.

True, EA has always been great at graphics. It's the gameplay that has usually fell sub-par to competition (usually to 2k Games). So this title is really shaping up to be the best of both worlds. Hopefully it's worth it. :D

If you played last year's game, you would know that the gameplay was it's major weakness. It's the first game I ever stopped playing because I could no longer stand the bugs. I lost games because of bugs in the game. That should never happen.

I did not say that 2K Games were always flawless with their gameplay. What I said was that their games are usually superior to EA's games in terms of gameplay. The keyword here, if you'd like it spelled out for you, would be usually. A prime example is that of the NBA titles each company pumps out every season.

Their baseball games have never had better gameplay. One genre has nothing to do with another. I don't like EA, but I'm objective enough to know they made better baseball games. By this, I mean my fielders would actually throw the ball when I told them to.

why does every gaming thread need trash talking. just say good graphics or crap graphics and leave it at that.

Not into baseball games but this looks like a sweet game. Ill have to rent it.

Trash talking? Where? Am I not allowed to say the past game sucked? Considering I spent my money on it and played through it quite a bit, I can say it without bias.

Ah, I see. Well, I've never been too much into baseball sims, so I wouldn't really know. I was basing my assumption on NBA, NCCA and NHL games. :)

I guess you're one of those gamers 2k sports loves because they haven't cursed you with a game like mlb 2k6 lol. My last time playing, this is how it went (playing on hardest difficulty):

It was a late inning and I was up by one run. The bases were loaded with no outs, the other team was up to bat. I throw the pitch and get a ground ball to second. Easy two outs, right? Well, no, not exactly. My second baseman refused to throw the ball home. I hit it about 6 times and nothing. He just stood there. Thankfully, the batter was slow because I barely got him out at first. Either way, it wound up costing me the game and I gave up on the game as a whole.

Ouch, that sucks man. I'd be really ****ed off as well. Yea, I haven't played MLB 2k6 so I wouldn't know, but I have been much more impressed with their NBA 2k6 over NBA Live 06 in terms of gameplay. But the graphics in NBA Live 06 are much better imo. Wish I could combine 'em ;)

But also, to be fair, I wouldn't discount their gameplay because of one bug, no matter how big or how much it has annoyed you, ya know? Is the overall gameplay satisfactory over their competition in your opinion? I guess that would be the real question.

Online gameplay was impossible because the game would slow to a crawl (literally, everything happened in slow motion, no it wasn't lag). Fielders would routinely hit the wall trying to pick up a ball and fall down allowing an in the park homer. Fielders would often times stand over a stationary ball in the outfield, refusing to pick it up. The announcing? How about this one: Second inning, no outs, I strike a guy out. The announcer suddenly yells "One more out and he's got a complete game!". Even funnier was the time Randy Johnson got the Win and the Save. Then, the stealing stats bug. I almost never stole a base, yet my team led the league in steals because if a batter made it from first to second on a single, they counted it as a steal. It goes on and on. I'm extremely ****ed thinking about it all now lol.

And when your team is no where in the post season, we'll see lol. You're lucky I know you're just trying to bug me lol

And how did you guys do in the postseason? Oh right, you weren't even there. You finished 3rd in the division lol.

Yeah, not competing is so much more admirable than competing and losing.......or not. I'm pretty sure the entire Bosox nation and the team and owners would agree.
