Google says I changed my "cookie functionablity"

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm getting an odd error on Google. I've done some "Googling" on the subject but I didn't find anything relevant for my situation. The bizarre thing is that I never tinkered once with my browser's settings nor did I ever receive any prompts in regards to changing any settings in Firefox (2.0.0.1)

It's like it happened on it's own. But when I went into my cookie settings, it didn't look like anything had changed.

Is this an error on my behalf or Google's? I should probably email them about it but I know I will likely receive a faster response on Neowin.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you;

Andrew

My extensions are:

  • Adblock
  • Adsense Notifier
  • DOM Inspector
  • Download Embedded
  • Gmail Notifier
  • Google Notebook
  • ReloeadEvery
  • SEOpen

(Might I add they're all up to date and haven't been modified by me ever.)

This is what my cookie settings in Firefox currently are:

(Nothing looks like it was changed before/after this all started.)

You didn't show google.com in your cookies list - is it there?

Also, click on exceptions and check there to see if its blocked by accident.

Lastly, any spyware prevention apps or software firewalls that might be interfering?
