Defiantly
Hey, New to Xbox 360 here and expect to get my "Premium" package in a few days. Does anyone have a link to a site that explains what all of the "service" levels are and what you get with each? Can't seem to find on that compares them all. Thanks! Trong
Well, the gist of it is, gold gets you: -Online Play -Access to the marketplace, sometimes you get things earlier Silver gets you the marketplace.
Defiantly
Wow, so if I only have silver (which I believe the Premium comes with), then no multiplayer? Yikes! How much is it for Gold?
Remysaus
you can register a new live account, the first month will be free (so you get a gold account) sort of like a try-out, after the first moment your account automaticly changes to silver, you won't lose your account, it will just change, you can then buy prepaid gold cards in a store and update your account to be gold again. (60 USD a year i believe)
Dysphoria
Its not much, its around $45.00 for a year. Check out some of the stores. I remeber some stores use to offer $10.00 off from premium. Look around you might find a better deal. Its totally worthed though
Roger H. Veteran Posted January 22, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 22, 2007 yeah, it's about $50 a year for Gold and you get online play.. well here read: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/memberships/?WT.svl=nav that was easily found on the main page. Just go to xbox.com then point to Xbox Live then "membership levels" and it brings you to the above.

Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted January 22, 2007 Global Moderator Share Posted January 22, 2007 Premium (buy this) it comes with a hard drive, HDTV/SD cables, and a wireless controller Core (dont buy this) does NOT come with a hard drive, comes with SD cables only, and a wireless controller? not too sure about the controller could be a wired one Gold (Buy this) it's the Xbox Live membership, and allows you to play games online :) Silver (comes when you get the premium (correct me if im wrong)) it doesn't allow you to play online UNLESS it's a free xbox live silver weekend, were all silver and gold members are allowed to play (i haven't heard of one recently) Aslong as you have a hard drive, or memory card you can get xbox live. Also, the xbox marketplace is amazing! free demos (gold members get some releases early) and game content.. (sometimes you need to pay with microsoft points) Microsoft points... something microsoft made up, and you buy look at the price guide prices vary between different things.. and i believe prices eventually go down on most content
neoadorable
yeah good choice with the premium and ya gotta hav a gold account otherwise what's the point? i know it's a money drain but you get a relatively stable, nuisance-free system for your buckadingdongs.
