Xero
Hey guys, First off I want to say this is for my brother who owns a 360, I have my PS3 so don't think I switched fellow PS3'ers. However my brother always seeks me out when he has a technical problem and this one is a bit out of my reach. Hes trying to system link 2 xbox's together for other games for at the moment specificly Project Gotham 3. I told him he needed a crossover wire in order to connect them, which he got and connected them with both 360's off, then he turned his on, then the other and the system link icon became available, he then setup a server and was waiting for the others to join, however they were not able to join, or see the game at all in the find game window. Is there something hes doing wrong? The wire he got is supposed to be a crossover they may have lied causing it not to be able to connect directly to eachohter, I'm not quite sure, is there a network or something that needs to be setup in order for it to work? Hopefully someone can help me here cuz Google doesn't seem to be helping out too much. On a side note, are you only able to do 1 single player system link in Project Gotham? He said he tried doing splitscreen for 2vs2 but it only was accepting a 1on1, not sure if its this game or thats how they all work. I appreciate any help, thanks. obsolete_power
Check the wire....put poth ends next to each other with the clip down on both and look at the first wire's color. If the first wire on the left end of the cable is the last wire on the other end of the cable it is crossover. If it isn't then it is a regular RJ-45 cable. Remysaus
we don't answer to ps3 owners v_v' j/k check if one of the xbox's has an static ip, not sure if that matters in system link though (check in the dashboard at network settings) and I'm sure there is a diagram on the interhighway to see if it's really a crossover cable or not.
