Shadrack
It would absolutely suck to have to be an x360 player and competing with pc players. There would be no competition. I've been playing UT2004 for the past few days and it has been a blast. The game requires some really tight reflexes to be any good. Gears of War did really well for the xbox 360 because it didn't require tight reflexes. Haven't decided if I'll get this for my PC or my 360. If for my PC, I'd have to do some serious upgrading and that could cost some major $$... but it will probably be best on the PC as far as graphics and gameplay go (online play will probably be free too). On the xbox 360 I can kick back in an easy chair with it and play it on a large HDTV (hopefully will be getting soon anyway). Decisions decisions. One thing though, this isn't distributed by microsoft studios, it is distributed by Midway. I doubt "Xbox Live" will be integrated in the PC version like it will in the 360 version. And you definitely won't see anything xbox live on PS3, which I believe this will be coming to that system as well. So because of that I am seriously doubtful of cross-platform online play. Elliott
**** yea!!! This makes me so, so, so happy. I really was hoping it wouldn't be a PS3/PC exclusive. exactly why i'd like to see it happen.. to finally shut up all of those people who say "the console controller is better than a mouse and keyboard". Find me who says that. I never see "OMG ANALOG ROX!" I only see "ZOMG, KEYBAORD AND MOUSE RAWK! UR STICKS SUK" coming out of the mouths (or fingers) of every PC gamer, which is all well and good. I just wish you all would shut up already.

Xerxes
Interesting change in tradition* I don't like the name change though, UT2007 sounds better :p I'll probably grab it on Xbox 360 now, considering my computer probably can't even handle the installer let alone run the game  is all good :) * = Tradition in that usually the PlayStation and the PC get UT and the Xbox gets Unreal Championship (UC). RevelMore
Great News, love the first one, never played any other one. and it's such a coincidence that i have a 360. :p

Lingwo
I think everyone expected it to come to 360 :p Like developers have stated, it is so much easier to develop games for it. You have to LOL at the trailer, they've tried to make a story... they should've just said "Get a flak cannon and go to town on people".

They've had a minor story ever since the original Unreal Tournament. They even tied it in with the Unreal storyline, trying to fit in the Liandri Corporation and all. Also, isn't this technically Unreal Tournament IV, or are they just wanting forget the debacle that was UT2003?

Remysaus
nice, although I'm not really into these fast-paced shooters I would really consider buying this.
Rodrigo
I wonder why they waited so long to announce the 360 version? hmm... They want us 360 users to love them more. Also, isn't this technically Unreal Tournament IV, or are they just wanting forget the debacle that was UT2003? I think the reason behind the name is that it's using the Unreal 3 engine. :D
bdsams Veteran Posted January 26, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 26, 2007 Is there a release date, i think timing will be everything for this one as this and HALO 3 are geared toward the same genre and if it comes out near novemeber im not going to dish out $120.00 plus tax for two fast paced FPS
idioot
June 30, I read somewhere..or is that just PC version ?
giga Veteran Posted January 26, 2007 Veteran Share Posted January 26, 2007 Looks gorgeous! Go Epic! :D I wonder why they waited so long to announce the 360 version? hmm... Moneyhats. But if it is Live Anywhere where you actually do compete against PC gamers--then obviously the 360 gamers will get smashed. It could just be like Halo's Live Anywhere though where you're just interconnected between Xbox Live with stats, friends, etc.
Menge
Looks gorgeous! Go Epic! :D I wonder why they waited so long to announce the 360 version? hmm... UT2003 was really Unreal Tournament 2, and UT2004 was a revision...like v2.9 or something. I like the name change. I bet Unreal Tournament 2004 would be selling better today if it was named Unreal Tournament 2 instead. People see that it came out in 2004 and aren't interested even though it is the best arena style multi player shooter that is out there at the moment. I think the name change will give the game more longevity.
Shadrack
In fact, they even offered a discount for UT2004 to UT2003 players.
magik
"Do NOT twart Gears of War's release" - Microsoft Big-WigI think that makes sense :p You think so? Because they're not really the same game at all and they're not being released anywhere near the same time as each other, eh? But yea, maybe you're right, I don't really see any other explanation. Blackhearted
How depressing. A game meant for the pc selling out and going multi console... Why couldn't they just leave UC to the consoles since it fits it better and UT to the pc like it belongs? The only thing that could make it worse is if pc users could play against console users. Cause then i'll also have to deal with stupid little kids on mics.

If you don't like it don't get it. Stop whining to us who might actually want the game for the x360. Stupidest comment I've read in a long time for what is otherwise "good news for all."
