Hummer
Dreamweaver MX version 6.1 includes performance improvements and enables collaboration with Macromedia Contribute. In addition, several outstanding issues discovered since the release of Dreamweaver MX have been addressed in this version. If you downloaded Dreamweaver MX from the Macromedia site after 12/3/02, then you have the Dreamweaver MX Updater for Contribute. Both the trial version of Dreamweaver MX and the electronic software download available for purchase on the Macromedia online store were updated on 12/3/02. http://www.macromedia.com/support/dreamwea...notes_mx61.html

Arckon
I am using the final 6.0 version of it. I just checked over at the forums on macromedia.com and some other people seem to be having problems too. Maybe they will have a patch for the patch LOL
Quboid
I just tried to install it, and it says that the product is not Dreamweaver MX! wtf??? What exactly does it say? I've heard of it saying "This folder does not contain Dreamweaver MX." with the title "Severe" after the correct directory is specified. Is this exactly what you get? What version number do you have? I've seen this problem with version 6.0.1714.0 - I think there are newer versions than this around. To find the version number, go to the Dreamweaver MX directory and right click on Dreamweaver.exe, select Properties and click on the Version tab. The version number should be printed first here. kairon
If you have a warez copy then no, this will probably not work. Don't cry either cause you should have bought the software, then you'd be entitled to upgrades :D

Seth
During Updater installation, some users are encountering this error. There are two identified situations where this may occur: The Updater defaults to the Contribute directory instead of the Dreamweaver MX directory. Browse to the Dreamweaver MX directory (the directory that contains the Dreamweaver.exe file). The Updater should then install correctly. The Updater has already been installed. Right-click on Dreamweaver.exe (not a shortcut but the actual file), select Properties, click Versions tab, and select Product Version. If the version is 6.1.1842, then the Updater has already been installed. If you continue to experience trouble installing the Updater, please check the following: Make sure you are logged into Windows as an administrator. Make sure you are logged into Windows with the same user account used during Dreamweaver MX installation. Check the Dreamweaver program folder for the file VSetupT.exe (in the same folder as Dreamweaver.exe). If it exists, rename it to VSetupT.bak, and try installing the updater again. ================ I think this VSetupT file is the thirty-day trial program thingy. If it's been (properly) disabled you should now be able to install the patch. Stupid warez monkeys, you drive prices up for the rest of us.
