SoulEata
Hi I'm on XP SP2, using IE7 with no desire to downgrade or use Firefox. Every so often, IE7 crashes, it's something I've just come to expect on basically a daily basis. Normally when it does this, I would report the error to MS. However, the error reporting isn't really working any more. I press send error report, and it just stays on the first check and freezes. All I can do is click 'cancel' to close out IE properly. Any ideas?

JRosenfeld
Most problems with IE 7 crashing are due to an incompatible addon (e.g. versions of addons that were with IE6 before upgrade to IE 7, but which need updating for IE 7 compatibility). You could see if starting IE7 with no addons is stable, then ensble the addons one by one or in smal groups until you find the one that causes the crash. To start IE with no addons: Install of IE 7 created an shortcut in system tools folder (IE 7 no addons). Or click start, run, type iexplore.exe -extoff, press enter or cloick OK.
