Crackdown Disc acts as Halo 3 Beta Invitation

The screenshot is not very exciting to look at, but at least you will know whether or not your copy of Crackdown has a Beta code on the disc. All you do is head to the ?Downloads? section of the game (you may have seen it in the demo), select it and you should be presented with the above screen. Obviously the Beta isn?t up yet so you will have to be patient, but I?m sure the screen will get many people excited.

As the 20th (US) and the 23rd (EU) roll ever closer, people everywhere are getting more and more excited; Crackdown is on the way, but many more are excited that Spring will almost be here as well, when the Beta is meant to be going Live. As people play Crackdown in order to pass the time, Microsoft will be preparing their servers for the biggest hit yet. I?m just looking forward to the game.

Just to confirm, it is every copy that has an invite right? And not a batch of them?

After playing the demo, I'm gonna be picking this up. I really hadn't cared for it until then.

First batch, specially marked only. Preorder is the best thing to do

To all those people in the other thread who we're flaming me:

told ya I was right

Uh, I was saying all that stuff in full knowledge that it was straight from the disc (I've known this for 2 weeks, and even posted it in a different thread about this)...and it doesn't now change anything I said.

You seriously don't think MS has thought of this?

I still think your previous post consisted of a bunch of useless gibberish.

Therefore, I'll just rent the game as planned.

Yes, I was right.

No further discussion is needed.

Yea, Microsoft confirmed that every disc in the initial Crackdown batch has the Halo 3 beta code on it.

That's fine. I didn't have that type of "rent" in mind.

In the end, I was right. No invitation code, therefore the code cant expire. The physical disk is the code. It will only expire when MS cuts the Beta.

Whats with everyone using "buddy"...? I'm not your buddy.

Now you're changing your story. You did have that type of "rent" in mind, as you were all about going out and "renting" the game from a store instead of buying it. Well sure, you might be able to get the Beta that way, you won't be able to play it after you return the game.

Don't try to spin your story, buddy, it's not going to work. I told you MS thought of the renting situation, and I told you in full knowledge that the beta came from the disc, so I don't even know where you're getting your post from.

Am I the only person who is more bothered about the game. Than a beta for a mutiplayer which isn't exactly fantastic in the first place?

I guess I've played too many watered down PC shooters already. :D

Pre-ordered a copy on Play.com. Do they usually deliver for the day of release?

Yeah, I'm gonna up my strength tonight so I can pick up some cars. Bad ass :D

Well, there doesn't seem to be much depth. It's just a law enforcement agency with bad ass powers and capabilities, bringing the smackdown to latino sugar daddies throughout 'Pacific City'
