Huleboeren
Mr. Gates about Viva Pinata Mincing mega geek Bill Gates has committed the ultimate faux pas - he's told Charlie Rose that Viva Pi?ata is for girls. Discussing new genres, he said: "We have a thing called Viva Pi?ata that's for young girls, where you're tending a garden and these animals come along..."b> He then goes on to waffle about how Xbox 360's power and connectivity allow you to "conceptualise" game ideas better than ever before. So anyway, Gates clearly doesn't know much about Viva Pi?ata (or he probably wouldn't have cited a game that doesn't use the hard disk and doesn't need an Xbox Live Gold subscription to make his point). Fortunately, we do! Because Viva Pi?ata is ace. A stimulating blend of creativity and management, it's also one of the funniest games on Xbox 360, and my dragonache (Flammie) has better things to do than watch CEOs bluff their way through dark interviews when he could be walking gaily through my optimally fertilised oak-laden forests of joy. Source I wonder if he has ever tried it

Captain_Wang
I think he just means it's a game young girls would like or is at least suitable for.

User6060
When they were developing this game, who do you think the target audience was... He didn't say you're a girl if you play this game. Just like you're not a girl if you play with Barbies, you're just a loser. :p

Pierce28
I think he meant that it would appeal to younger girls more than other games. I don't know, but I don't think young girls care much for games like gears of war and Halo. :-/
halcyoncmdr
I know a lot of girls who play halo and GoW, heck most of them don't even like Viva Pi?ata. Really it was probably meant to do what Raiden in Metal Gear Solid 2 was for... to get the female gender into buying the game more. haha It's all marketing. Everyone has their own favorite types of games. I didn't like Crackdown that much until I was playing with a friend in the demo co-op, I love it now... So really every game is made for a specific demographic in mind, but that doesn't mean others won't like it.

+vlsi0n Subscriber¹ Posted February 7, 2007 Subscriber¹ Share Posted February 7, 2007 Ouch. That's like your Tivo automatically recording Will & Grace for you? (lol, King of Queens anyone? Spencer? :p) W&G is a great show though, i haven't seen King of Queens. I liked viva pinata but i found myself drifting at times, and my biggest complaints are that the text is really hard to read [non-hd] and the menus [buy etc] take forever, so many button presses for one action. Konstanov
I've spent more time on Viva than Gears. I'd like to think that I'm a guy. After examining your sex life, I can tell you that the penis that you think makes you guy is only for show. (Sorry, please don't warn me again.) Bad joke, over but I still haven't tried Viva yet, been meaning too.
