gunnerhkjp
Uhh, you don't write 1080p on the box if it can't natively support 1080p. You can scale any game to 1080p with that chip. The guy was on the team and he had no idea what he was talking about. I hardly call that definitive proof even if he says he queried others on the team. -Spenser The capcom programmer here also claims 720P

jimbo11883
I think that the upscaled 1080i/1080p resolutions listed on game boxes should be marked as so... Use an asterisk or another symbol next to the labels with text somewhere saying that the resolutions are upscaled and not native.
magik
^ It should only display native resolutions (resolutions that the game was made for). AFAIK, there's no such thing as an upscaled game disc. The upscaling happens on the hardware end, either by the 360 or by the TV or both.

Well, if they only put the native resolutions, then people would think that there's no possible way that the game would run in 1080i/p. I agree with jimbo, they should put some kind of * or something next to the upscaled resolutions and put some more info on the bottom.

There isn't any way those games can run in 1080i/p. They aren't running in that res just because they're being upscaled to it. They should only list native resolutions on the box, IMO. -Spenser

So should they start putting 1080i/p on Xbox 1 backwards compatible games?
