MPH
I'm a real noob when it comes to consoles in general, as I have never owned one. I'm interested in Xbox360, but I'm not sure which one to get. One of the differences between Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 Core is the hard disk. This means that Xbox 360 Core users must save their game positions to the memory module, which must be purchased separately. I would like to know how many saved positions can be saved on a single memory module? Can game positions from different games (Oblivion, Need for Speed) be saved to the same memory module? Thanks. KiwiSwe
You can store saved games from diffrent games on one memory unit. I doubt you have to worry about how much space the saved games take, most game saves wont weigh much of 200kB so prolly around 300 saved games on a 64MB card however games overwrite and stuff so its nothing to worry about. However if your getting a 360 get the pro version, i think the wireless controller is worth the price just there and with a harddrive you can download demos and videos and all sorts of crap from marketplace. andrew_f
It should be noted that the hard drive is available for purchase - you dont need to use memory module :)
bickman2k
However, if you buy the Core and a hard drive, it's the same price as the premium version with a hard drive, wireless controller, HD cables, headset, and ethernet cable.
MPH
Thanks to all for your answers. After spending nd some time on Xbox's webpage, I came to conclusion that buying a XBox 360 (premium) makes much more sense that buying the Core version and upgrading it later. I might buy also a memory module to use around in case some of my friends gets the Core version. Notice to moderators: I made a mistake and I believe that this topic should be moved to "Microsoft Gaming". Regarding that memory module purchase. I would wait until the larger capacity memory modules are available. Then snatch one of the 64MB ones off eBay for much cheaper.
