I'm curious here. Does anyone here have this legend of a game known as Steel Battalion? I'm looking for people to play with online again. I'm looking to get back into the game again, but most people from the Steel Battalion.org forums are M.I.A. now.

For those of you who don't know what Steel Battalion is, here is a short description:

Steel Battalion is a mech shoot-em-up made by Capcom, that is used by a special 40-button controller (picture below) with pedals. You pilot these giant mechs known as VTs (Vertical Tanks), and fight each other in a massive battlefield with up to 12 people online, due to the massive bandwidth the game uses up.

EDIT: Sorry, I made a ######-up on the poll question. I forgot to click the link to add the poll, but it's added the last question. Basicly, the 1st question was do you own the game?

Fixed the Poll for you (Y) and I also added another reply besides Yes for the "Do You Own" Question.

I have not played the game, but that is some wicked controller. Haha... how much is that game nowadays anyway?

Same price as its always been. ?130 in the UK, and around $200 in the US. But those are the retail prices, and Steel Battalion is no longer produced anymore, so the best way to get it is, like me, on eBay.

I've had the game for over 2 years, and I still love to play it. It's perfect for online wars or clan matches. The problems are that the game requires so much bandwidth, so there is tons of lag most of the time. And online, there is a slight delay with controller movements. You get used to it after about 5 minutes, though.

Other than that, excellent game!

Yeah, but I got it for a bit of a bargain. I paid ?112.50 for the controller + both versions of the game, which would retail at ?170, so I got a good deal.
