lunamonkey
I have just got home from work to find that UPS have tried to make a delivery today (but failed because I was out). The reference was Microsoft, so I phoned UPS and asked them where the package was from. They said it was from Havant, Teleplan. Which is the xbox360 replacement place. The thing is... I already got my replacement xbox360 two months ago. :D What do you think I should do? Can I keep / sell it? Will they realise? Will it be pre-registered to me already? Will they ask for it back later? Should I phone MS and see what's up? :s

MadFerIt
would you ve saying the same thing if you didnt work for ms??..... keep it!!! I don't work for Microsoft, and I would still return it (and trust me I've had horrible experiences with the Xbox support center, they need massive improvements). Can't speak for Spartan though. It all depends on your morality and whether or not you feel guilt over stealing (even if it's due to the constant illogical errors by the support center). Lingwo
Keep it, no doubt your replacement 360 will break at one point as they're made of glass. It isn't your fault if they sent you another replacement :p

dooba
K... Definitely give M$ a call and see whtas up. Best case scenario is that they say, our mistake - enjoy. Worst case is that they'll send you a box to send it back in. Ethical issues like this determine who you are. If your honest in this, you have nothing to hide and it won't come back to get you. Do whats right. - j
RuudJacobs.NET
Keep it. If another x360 comes your way, return that one. They won't have a clue and will even pay you with a thank-you-gift-certificate. :p You could also return it ofcourse...
Ayepecks
what kind of moral values you'd learn from your family?    You know, it's really hit and miss. I'd say sometimes my parents would tell me "keep it, it's their mistake and they can afford it", or others they'd tell me "do the right thing and send it back", and still other times they'd say "do whatever you want." panicswitched
find out what it is first, it could just be a replacement power cord or something and not a whole 360 do what you want you have your own brain to make your choices =)
dragon2611
probably say hold onto it but dont open it see if they relise if they do send it back if they dont contact you within a resonable timeframe then keep it. Microsoft make money by ripping people off at every oppertunity, its THEIR mistake let them deal with it.
harveyhanson
Send it back, theoretically could be classed as steeling (your accepting the goods as yours).

gabalicious
Call them and see what you can get? if you get the system you should sell it or give it to a freind. If you didn't ask for it you're not stealing. U.S Law says you can keep this. Why should you go through the hassle of telling them this is not yours and that u'd like to send it back

lunamonkey
update : I know what happened. When UPS delivered my console last time, they just left it outside of my house. they didn't get my signature or anything. Which was a bit weird. The paper work obviously hasn't added up and they have sent me another one. :p Go Bill! Mr X says, "thanks for calling, thank you for your honesty, but just tell UPS that you don't need it." I said "What if the UPS guy keeps it?" He said.. "The Microsoft police will come after him!" :p
