Jase
I do... don't really see a reason to update to IE7 but then again don't use IE at all.
Raa
I use IE6 on my main pc, mainly because im not too bothered about using either version, as i'm a Maxthon user (all pcs) I have IE7 on the laptop, still getting used to it.... Staying with Maxthon tho!

tsutton
Still IE6 at home, same with at workplace. I'm planning to switch to Vista as soon as all drivers for my hardware are stable, along with some support for some of my software.
Alex_is_Axel
i still use ie6 but only as a backup since Firefox 2.0 is my default web browser.. i didnt feel the need to upgrade ie if im hardly gonna use it.. i only use it when firefox has a problem loadin a webpage which is rarely :)
Skiver Veteran Posted February 14, 2007 Veteran Share Posted February 14, 2007 I use IE6 on my main pc, mainly because im not too bothered about using either version, as i'm a Maxthon user (all pcs)I have IE7 on the laptop, still getting used to it.... Staying with Maxthon tho! Im a maxthon user but i did upgrade to IE7 at home and work because maxthon still runs fine on IE7 engine and you obviously get the plus benefits of IE7 with it... id stick with maxthon and upgrade if i were you :) alot of the machines at work are being left with IE6 atm because we run Learn Direct here and they sent us an email saying that they arent sure if their courses are compatable with IE7... this was about a month after IE7 was rolled out with updates... you would think companies like this would have some way of testing their courses with it before it was released... luckly the main LD room is running win 2k so their isnt a choice in the matter :)
The_Decryptor Veteran Posted February 14, 2007 Veteran Share Posted February 14, 2007 I upgraded to 7 as i don't like core system components being out of date (and a ton of app's rely on it, like Steam or stuff like Maxthon)
samg
Im on IE6 at work, purely as i cant be bothered to update. I only use IE to check my bank. At home its IE7, because windows update just installed it.
BinaryFragger
I still use IE6 at work because some of our Intranet applications are incompatible with Firefox and IE7. At home, I use Opera 9.20 on my laptop, Firefox on my PC (also have IE7 installed) and Camino on my Mac.
redscheme
i try not to use ie6 at all, some sites require it tho *sighs* I'm not going anywhere near ie7
LunarFalcon
I still have to use it at work as well, but I rarely leave the company's intranet with it.

At home its IE7, because windows update just installed it. wow... Anyways, I've updated every single computer in my house to IE 7, and now i'm regretting I didnt leave one at IE 6 since I can nolonger test websites on the real thing. But then again I'm cutting support for IE6 anyways so whatever. My main browser is Firefox, and at school I use portable firefox with a periodically synced clone of my home profile, with security setting tweaks of course. Mathachew Veteran Posted February 14, 2007 Veteran Share Posted February 14, 2007 *cough* Multiple IE If you're a web designer or developer, there is absolutely no reason to not have at least IE6 and 7 on your PC, unless you want to be a crappy designer/developer. There are currently two issues that I know of when running IE6 standalone: 1. Session variables do not hold 2. Flash embedded objects give you a prompt to continue running the page (easily bypassed if you use swfobject). In case you didn't catch on, I have both on all my systems, but I use FF. dw2003
Sadly, most of the PCs here at work are on IE6 - But were slowley (very very slowley migrating to IE7) @Primexx you can always download a standalone IE6 (if your on an XP machine) and use that to test webpages in IE6

Olly-
Until today my uni department was still using IE6, but has now rolled out IE7, at the same time as Media Player 11.
_dandy_
I have it on my systems at work, and don't see anything in it to convince me to "upgrade" my systems at home. I let it install on my older laptop (2GHz Celeron / 512MB RAM), and it slowed it so much I reverted back to IE6. By "slow", I mean, when resuming from hibernate, any IE7 window that was opened comes back up waiting to repaint itself, and stays there for 20 solid minutes (no exaggeration). Granted this is probably some fluke, but I can't be bothered to figure out the source of that problem. Also, I've noticed that on my office machines (both on which I installed it) the CPU usage spikes at 100% for a few seconds when I click on a new page--not so with IE6. I therefore see no reason to rush into moving to IE7.
Quillz
Even though I never use IE, I saw no reason to keep IE6 on there, so I've gone ahead and upgraded to IE7.

studio57lie
I have IE7 on the laptop, still getting used to it.... Staying with Maxthon tho! same here. you get used to buttons' positions and i used that for the first time and thought it was really annoying and off. sorry if that doesnt make much sense. dont use ie anyways for anything ever so i dont really worry about it
Scirwode
My father still does. Then again, he doesn't know the difference  ! I'm trying to get him to move to either Firefox or Safari but it will take some time. Scirwode
