Converting videos to .wmv files

Well as I told you in a private message, the 360 acts like it freezes when I try to play a file but after 5 minutes it says it has lost connection with the server (TVersity), even though it has been running the whole time.

Try reading some of the threads on the TVersity forums. They might help you with your problems.

There's a FAQ on the site too.

Using this post: http://forums.tversity.com/viewtopic.php?t...42ab0ed009216e3

It does not freeze up when I select a video, and say, "lost server connection". It plays videos almost perfectly, that is the .wmv at least. I converted some videos to .wmv before TVersity when I had WMP to see if they would work, and they didn't before but after this new setup, they work fine now.

Now, I just need to see if they work in their .avi or .xvid form because I think that is having an effect on video playback after I converted them to .wmv. In the .wmv those videos I mentioned above, cannot be fast fowarded or rewound. Is that because I converted them?

Sorry to double post, but I have a new question that hasn't been answered anywhere else yet.

I recently got everything working thanks to one of the guides in this forum. Now, videos are converted to .wmv on the fly without trouble, except for nothing can be re-wound or fast fowarded.

I have experienced this most with .avi files.

Is this just because it is converting it to .wmv on the fly and won't let you fast foward? Would it just be smarter to convert the files in question to .wmv so I can fast foward then?
