Pulgafree
Yesterday i remember one of the reasons i wanted a next-gen console. I wanted to experience a more realistic F1 game. Sadly to my, i didn't find any. I need to know, there is no F1 game for Xbox 360 or am i insane? Forza 2 will be my next buy in the racing topic, but the lack of F1 genre is making me nuts. Anyone knows anything about a it? btw, F1 = Formula 1.
tacheon
PS3 is getting one, so there may be a license issue there.
Remysaus
was wondering the same thing not so long ago, but when I think of it, I don't think there even was a F1 game on xbox 1, so it's probably as tacheon says..
qbie
Sony have exlusive rights from FOM since, 2004? The last F1 game on Xbox/PC that I can remember is F1 Challenge 99-03. q

Remysaus
there was only one F1 game on xbox; http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/f/f12001/ don't think it was too succesful because it's still the only one to date.

spex04
From here: MAY 23rd 2003: Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the continuation of the multi-million selling Formula One series. The only game to be officially licensed by the FIA (the governing body of the sport), Formula One 2003 will be released in July this year. Benefiting from a brand new deal signed with the FIA, the Formula One franchise will now be exclusive to SCEE and to PlayStation?2 for the next four years, ensuring unparalleled accuracy and the closest experience to being an F1 driver you’ll get on any platform. So maybe soon there'll be one..?
NoLiMiT06
There is a sim coming out for 360 called GTR by SimBin but I dont think it includes F1 style cars or not. I had it on the pc.

Jeremy Kyle
If the F1 came is anything like the F1 cars in GRiD (or was it DiRT?), we are in for a laugh!! It wasn't Sony that made the F1 game BTW. You have some real issues with Sony don't you?

You have some real issues with Sony don't you? Um yes they were. From 2001-2007 they were made by sony's liverpool studio. In 2000 it was made by a studio that was then bought by sony, and was published by sony.

DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 21, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2008 Pwned again Pop! And GT isn't developed by Sony, AB. Neither was Wipeout for the first 4 or 5 games? Only since the PS2 has Liverpool taken over the Wipeout franchise. Oh and Dirt/Grid were fantastic games. Definitely more successful than any F1 game in recent years :)

Sony are PD ;) Polyphony Digital Inc. is an internal video game developing company of Sony Computer Entertainment and is part of the newly formed Sony World Studios And so is Wipeout Psygnosis - It became part of Sony in 1993 and eventually changed its name to SCE Studio Liverpool. Both are owned by, and are 1st party studios within Sony. Liverpool Studio never took over Wipeout, they always made it. Psygnosis just changed their name. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 21, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2008 Yeah now Wipeout are part of Sony, they weren't before! Hence why their games were on multiple consoles back in the day  I'm referring to Sony studios actually making these games, which they still don't when it comes to GT. They bought a studio. That's like saying MS made Halo, when clearly it was Bungie. But anyways, I'm just glad we'll finally see an F1 title on the 360 finally :)

And as I said last time, just pm a mod or something, don't bring it up constantly. And the company behind Wipeout was bought by Sony 1993, before the first Wipeout game came out, though it was still its own publisher apparently, hence why the first three Wipeout games came out on other platforms, but after the N64 version it was absorbed into Sony. Its last game was Wipeout 64 for the Nintendo 64, after which is became part of Sony it seems and after once more Wipeout release for the Playstation before becoming Studio Liverpool. And as for Grand Turismo, it has always been a part of Sony, but started as a simple internal studio before becoming Polyphony Digital.

Sony make the GT Series as it's one of their own studios, I dunno why you're trying to argue that Sony don't make GT

Mike
Oh and Dirt/Grid were fantastic games. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted December 21, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 21, 2008 Even if you're not, you're still the spitting image of him in almost every way. Not a good thing I assure you. You shouldn't have insulted one of my very good friends though :) Especially not within your first 10 posts. Just asking for trouble (N) @ Mike, nobody has even seen what the new F1 game looks like, nor how it handles. Dirt and Grid are very different games from F1, I very much doubt they'll use the same controls for it. They've been around long enough to know what they're doing (Y)
