19" lcd widescreen...all I need now is for them to release 1440x900 support and it will be perfect

Yeah closest i can get is 1280x760

for some reason 1360x800 or whatever it is doesn't work it just goes to the 1280x760

32" MAG LCD HDTV. Wish I had a Samsung 40+" HDTV .

I came across this MAG set randomly when it was on sale for $500 and couldn't pass it by!

It has a great deal of inputs:

1x HDMI

1x VGA

2x Component

3x Composite

1x Coax (with HDTV tuner that works awesomely with my roof antenna!)

For that price even if I already had a nice HD set I still would have bought it for my room or something.

Contrast ratio could be a little higher (800:1). The only other thing I don't like about it is how the back light bleeds through the corners of the LCD when the set is initially turned on when displaying darker images. This disappears after the set has been on for about 15 minutes so no big deal.

I was playing on a 19" (viewable) 4:3 CRT Monitor before. It was HUGE! It made my table that it was set up on bow from the weight :p. This new HDTV >>>>> Old CRT Monitor definitely. So I'm "tickled to death" to have it.

Probably get another set within a year or two, I imagine.

I'd say keep your eye out and try to find something on sale if you are on a tight budget. I bet you are going to see a LOT of HDTV sets drop in price by Christmas this year. February 11th, 2009 is the shut off date for the old analog airwave signals and all broadcasting stations have to goto HD so there is going to be a saturated market of new sets I'd imagine. Although, if you wait till then there might be an increase in demand for HD sets...

I would like to add that I have had a MAG 19" LCD computer monitor for 4 years now and it still works great. Sometimes the off-name brands can be just as good for the shopper on a tight budget ;).

I just got a Westinghouse LVM-37w3 37" 1080p LCD monitor on Thursday. My PC is connected via DVI and my Xbox 360 is connected via VGA. Both my PC and Xbox 360 are set to 1920x1080 for the resolution.

i tell ya, that thing is a beast to keep clean even with the cloth! if i wanted to keep it proper clean, id have to wipe it every single day, im only just keeping it clean enough to use wiping once a week lol
