I never really took much interest in this game, But it seems there are alot of mixed reviews, I really don't know if I should get it. I really enjoy FPS though. But the technical problems sound annoying too...hmmm.

Esc > Load Game > Choose Your Quicksave from the list of games saved. From what I see you only have one Quicksave, but it worked fine for me.

Without dynamic lighting it will run just great on high. That lighting took my fps down to 5 and less, but doesn't really look that much better

coolies when i first ran the game the cut scene voices where slightly out of sync, and the game lagged a little, so i turned down the shadows a little, and turned on AA to x2 now the game is smooth as a babys arse :p

Actually got quite into this game.

I played it for an hour or two, failing the first mission about 5 times and I thought it was a load of mince

I do find it quite challenging but you adapt to the level of difficulty.

Had to tweak my setting A LOT. The game either isn't optimised well or current graphics drivers don't work well with it. I couldn't play without dynamic lighting though, it just isn't the same.

My current specs are

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 3.00GHz

2GB GeIL 800mhz 4-4-4-12

BFG 7600GT (yes I realise this card is quite the bottleneck)

Currently just met that guy in the bar. Forgot his name. The one you take the documents to. Had to break into some military base to get them... pain in the ass! Couldn't do it stealth so some alarm goes off and consequently I have to kill about 14-16 guards haha. Thank goodness for quicksave!

Also those bloodleechers or whatever they are called scared the living hell outta me. Was in the sewers/underground getting the info on Sterlok? And one of them charged at me. They are quick, stealthed and deadly heh.

Its a fun game, could of done with a bit more polish/reworked menu system. Atmosphere and sound are top notch though.

I'd say its like a Dues Ex/Boiling Point hybrid.

Would it be possible for people to post some screenshots and system specs please?

Looks like antialias went missing in action (restart and some crashes and so on ...).

Lacks widescreen support? I am using a widescreen monitor and 1440x900 is available to me as a game resolution. Stupid question, have you got the correct drivers for your monitor installed or are you using default? I ask as a friend had the same issue and he was using generic drivers rather than proper/official drivers, he installed the ones from LG and all was fine.

I have to say Im enjoying the game thus far.

I am thinking the surround problem is maybe something to do with Creative's drivers for Vista? Just a guess. I am not sure if it's doing 5.1 for me or not, I haven't paid attention.

Anyways, widescreen support is built into the game, which is better than EA does for Battlefield... If you turn lighting to static it runs pretty darn good at medium settings. This is from someone with an X1600XT running at 1680x1050. You will most likely need a 8800 card to run this with the full dynamic range, and even then it depends on if you are running Vista with nVidia's drivers. But if you have a high end DX9 card, you will most likely be running things at High with half the dymanic lighting I would say.

It's getting a bit funner. The AI is shaping up to be good, the way they take cover and sneak up on you... I was hiding in bushes shooting and then all of a sudden then are around my back chattering, but can't see me because I'm in the bush haha... sometimes they sneak up on you from behind and you don't even know and then they kill you. There are more animals coming up as well, and I had to help kill some wild boars before the gate guys would let me pass onto the next area. First time I couldn't make it there in time to help kill the boars so I restarted the save and just shot a few shots from a distance and at least then they acknowledged my help, and I was able to get through. Also the day/night cycles came to pass which are nice!

So how many of you actually bought the game? Reminds of an article I read about how PC gaming is practically dead because of pirating......

I'm going to 'test' it to see if my rig can handle it.

Not surprising. The only games that are really profitable are one's such as online RPG's which you can't pirate. 360/PS3/Wii games are the profitable one's.

Nope, not after actually trying the game. Wouldn't even pay a single cent for this crap.

How many in Canada got it now? Where you bought it? FutureShop and EBgames here don't have it, at least around my city. Should be tomorrow or friday.

After 3 years I know about this game, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Unfortunatly, we don't get a Collector's Edition here.
