IceDogg
I have read where some say it's more customizable, but to me if it is it isn't as easy to accomplish. You are going to get both sides claiming all kinds of things, so if I was you I'd just try it out for myself. Read the forums at Opera to see how to modify it to your liking, post your own questions if you can't find answers. See if it can do the things you want. I know it will be time consuming, but in the end it's the only way to know if it can do what you want for sure. No one knows what you like better then you, therefor no one can answer this question better then you. Just some friendly advice. PS. No offense, but if you would reduce how many extensions you use maybe Firefox would run better to your liking. Just a thought.
Pink Floyd Veteran Posted March 3, 2007 Veteran Share Posted March 3, 2007 list your extension you really need to keep and we could help to tell you if this is available on opera or not thread moved
Toology
~50 extensions...wow. Firefox would probably run better if you would prioritize your needs and eliminate extensions you rarely use. I only have 3 (Adblock Plus, Bug Me Not, DownThemAll!) installed/enabled and out of those I really only need Adblock Plus.

Quillz
With Opera, a lot of the standard features are only available to Firefox via extensions, such as mouse gestures. I don't know if Opera will be any better for you, but it does have a very capable ad blocker, as well as a simple e-mail client.
SacrificialSoldier
OK, are you sure you need all of those addons? ones like DoD Configuration - ??? uTorrent - You already have to have it running so why use the WebUI? VideoDownloader - could use YoutubeX.com Fasterfox - Never found it to work very well - use Tweak Network, smaller better Favicon Picker - do you really need this? Linkification - is copy and paste that hard? MR Tech Local Install - WHY? Fission - it's cool but if not having it makes FF faster .... Free Download Manager - get DownThemAll, better. CustomizeGoogle - was never sure about this one. for ones like TMP and IETab, good choices! I am not being a prick, I am just trying to help, don't take it the wrong way. attempting to raise valid questions I use Adblock Plus AI Roboform Bugmenot Download Statusbar DownThemAll IETab MenuEditor Spellbound TabMixPlus Tweak Network and the Noia 2.0 theme Edited March 13, 2007 by SacrificialSoldier

Yes, copy and pasting really is that hard.

Bugmenot (Doesnt work most of the time) DownThemAll (Use a REAL download manager) IETab (Open IE for crying out loud) MenuEditor (Why would you want to edit the menu?) Spellbound (Built in spell checker!!!) Tweak Network (WHY?!?! It's a redundant extension, you could do ALL of it and MORE manually) and the Noia 2.0 theme (more bloat wont you say?) So just because you dont think an extension is useful, doesnt mean it isnt.

AIRoboform (remembers my passwords, is necessary) bugmenot (am right now uninstalling this!) Downthemall (what do you recommends) IETab (am also uninstalling this right now) Men editor (Am highly considering removing this one also) Spellbound (Firefox does not give you the correct spelling of the misspelled words) Tweak network settings (agreed am uninstalling it!) Noia 2.0 (looking to get used to the default theme but will take a while) was to lazy to stop and look at my addons in that way thanks

ViperAFK
You can get IEtab for opera, download Meadco's neptune plugin, install it, copy the plugins it installed in IE's plugjns folder to opera's plugin folder, and get the open in ietab custom button.
