Finding out how many more kills you need for X weapon..?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I finally discovered that some of your stats are recorded in Leaderboards, but annoyingly not things like Boomshot kills and what not.

I spose there isn't anywhere else I might find it? :( Tis making it very hard to figure out how many more kills I need. :(

Unfortunately, I dont think there is anyway to count how many kills you get per weapon (other than the weapons on leaderboard)

Just keep killing till an achievement notification pops up

ugh, GoW MP...gave up on it. not only am i mediocre at best but the unlocking requirements are a bit of a stretch, as this thread attests to. were i good at the game, then yeah why not, but i'm not gonna sink hundreds of hours into a game i don't really enjoy.

Well, most of them are fairly reasonable I spose. Weapons like the Hammer of Dawn are just impossible. :\ You can't really get it during normal play unless your deliberately going for it... and the 10,000 kills is abit much. :\

overall Epic made a big joke of their acheives. most of them are really hard seeing as there isn't too much action on the ranked match front to begin with, plus there's a definite bias towards online play on top of just being hard. for well-balanced unlocks take a look at Battlestations Midway and Oblivion. at least in those titles most players can feel they have a serious fighting chance.

I have to say I whole heartedly agree with you on your view of Gears.

I absolutely loved the game when it initially came out, played it for a month straight at least if not longer, and that was almost all just MP. For awhile I would say I was actually even decent at it on a few occasions. Got the 100 Grenade Tag Kills and never knew you could be far away from people, etc. I was actually okay so I enjoyed it.

Then I stopped playing for a few weeks, only played it here and there instead of every night. It was as if things had changed overnight. The crowd was way more annoying and ignorant then they initially were, and it was like I absolutely forgot how to play the game itself I sucked so bad. On the very rare occasion I would get into a groove and get a few kills, but for the most part I just get my ass handed to me. Either I got way worse, or people never stopped playing and just got insanely better. Either way, it was no fun at all anymore.

I have not played it for almost 3 weeks (2.18) as of now, and that is more or less a record break since it's release. The real kicker is I just want something new to play, and could pretty much care less if I never go back to GOW again. The truly ironic thing is though bring on Gears Of War 2.

Well, it's not like they're gonna make Gears a ###### game or something. Some achievements are easy, some are hard. Just keep playing, the achievements just keep stacking up.

I've unlocked 44 out of 49 so far. You can't tell me it's impossible

didn't say they're impossible. A) you're likely a better GoW player than me B) how you found the time to wade thru so many ranked matches is really admirable.

again, some other games strike a much more even balance. they're still challenging, but not in your face about it. the GoW or FEAR appraoch to achieves is too exclusionary.

I've only played 184 ranked matches. :D

Plus One. I just cannot play GoW anymore online on public servers: players just wipe the floor with me in half-seconds.

The only way to play Gow is to make private mathces with friends who have the same level.

Agreed, I?ve been in a few ranked matches and its not really a good experience... I accidentally joined a game that was 15 rounds long.

On my team we had 1 guy who got a reasonable 10 kills, I was next with 4, some other guy had 2 and the other guy 1 kill.

We got totally slighted by the other team almost every round.. they had 15 to 20+ kills each and every time they got a kill they wet them self?s and went totally crazy about it? at the end of it we got bad feedback because we were :rolleyes:leyes: at least we stayed in the game and put up with them.

Ranked matches are really no fun, it would be nice if you could play them with your friends or if the next update to gears of war let you get the achievements in player matches.

Single player Gow is great, I?ve completed it on all 3 difficulties, got all the cog tags and completed all the acts as Dom... but multiplayer gets boring after a while, all 3 types are basically the same and getting the achievements sucks big time. Its still nice to have the occasional game with your buddy?s though, especially if your all in the same room playing sy:Dem link :D

i tihnk GoW single player is absolutely awesome i completed it on all 3 difficulties and didnt get bored once, Online sucks though the main problem being is in a ranked match you get your ass kicked by someone who plays almost 24/7 is probably unemployed and has no life. The only way to play is with friends at least then theres some fun in it, whatever happened to trueskill or matchmaking?

I'm on about 5 matches hosted, my connection is fine but its so hard getting people to connect, which is strange considering there are quite a few aussies choosing american servers over me. :\

ruiz, when you put it like that, it doesn't sound so bad. but that's still a lot of time, in four months i think i only went online with GoW like five times.

I agree with Vykranth, Larry and Nutter...GoW's an elitist game and you can tell from the achieves, sorry to say. it's one of those games where the devs scoff at average players. me not like.
