MrKuro
yes it is. today they announced that it would be out in other parts of the world. thats great (Y) but still, I'd love to rebuy an xbox 360, but I think I'll wait until the new upgraded one is released (big drive / hdmi / etc). Still it is great that southpark is looking into HD seriously, maybe it will be in HD on the tv networks soon.
DrCheese
It was pretty sweet, pretty much everything looks nicer in Hi-def and a cartoon is no exception even tho its more "basic" I hope this is the first of many for HD content in marketplaces outside the US :D Free to air or even paid HD content over here is more or less non existent so currently the only other way of getting decent content is via the internet. Xtreme $niper
Hah isn't anyone else wondering what the point of an HD South Park is? It's a cartoon. But I still think it's cool that its free. I'll definitely download it anyway if its available for Canadians. EDIT: I realize now that this was already covered. My bad. lol

Elliott
:oIll remember that Does this mean, that if I create a US account - I can access the video marketplace? rent movies and such? :o You would technically need a US credit card and billing address. If you don't show me back-to-back shots, I'd never be able to tell the difference. This is referring to DVDs and stuff... HD TV is another story. Trong
That was pretty cool. It looked 100x better than my analog cable on an HDTV. :|
Xerxes
yes it is. today they announced that it would be out in other parts of the world. I can confirm that, it is available on the Xbox Live Marketplace here in Australia now :) so I'd assume it'd be available in other countries as well

Well, isn't that obvious since there is no difference when it comes to DVD's? 480p is 480p, no matter what the resolution of the screen is. I meant between the various formats... HD-DVD to DVD, Blu-Ray to DVD... don't see a huge difference unless I see comparison shots. Same with movies on Live. HD-DVD and Blu-Ray look way better to me - even noticably better than any HDTV stations I've seen.

Ayepecks
Wow. You can't see a difference? Wow. Whoa, don't change what I said. I never said I don't see a difference. I said I don't see much of a difference. It's hard to tell unless you have comparison shots or back-to-back. To me, the difference is so minor that it's hardly worth buying an HD-DVD drive or Blu-Ray player.

Ayepecks
I said I don't see much of a difference between HD-DVD/Blu-Ray and DVD. And unless you guys are watching something from the future, I doubt you do, either, IMO. http://www.cornbread.org/FOTRCompare/index.html And Live HD versus Live SD (same thing, but downloadable): http://www.jakeludington.com/hddvd/2006120...comparison.html Yes, you can obviously tell a difference. But I don't see enough of one to warrant buying an HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player at this point in time, personally. To each his own.
