God, I plopped soooo many quarters into the TMNT arcade game. To finally get the exact arcade game on a console is a dream come true. :) The NES port was fine for its time, but it just wasn't quite the same.

Ditto. I don't know how many dollars I spent on this game. And for only 5.00, that's a great deal!

I agree, the arcade blew the NES one out of the water...

Didnt the NES version have 2 extra levels though?

Yeah, but I'll take the smoother gameplay of the arcade original over a couple extra levels anyday.

I can't wait for this to be released. :D

The corner store down the street from my school had the machine and I played it everyday after school and would then go home to play the NES TMNT games. Walked into the store one day and it was gone. Replaced by that stupid ass Michael Jackson moonwalking game. I never went into that store again until like 1999  and since then have only been in about 4 other times.

I hold a powerful grudge for them taking away my turtles

I dug my NES out of the attic just about a few months ago, this was one of the few cartridges that would play without giving too many headaches... looked up the old cheat codes for extra lives and had some fun. Playing this game with an Xbox controller just wouldn't feel right, it has to be a hard rectangular shape that is so small it cramps my adult hands after about 20 minutes of use... it's so out of place on a current gen console.
