Spartan_X
GDC: Q Unveils Every Extend Extra Extreme Long rumored over the weeks leading up to GDC, Tetsuya Mizuguchi's Q Entertainment (Lumines, Meteos) has announced a new version of its freeware rework Every Extend Extra Extreme, due on Xbox Live Arcade in 2007. First launched for the PSP as Every Extend Extra, Q Entertainment's rework took freeware author Omega's original Every Extend further into the realms of psychadelic and futuristic synaesthesia typical of the developer being Sega's cult hit Rez. As Q Entertainment's release describe, the object of the puzzle shooting game is to maneuver the playable bomb to strategic positions where self-destructing will cause the largest chain reaction of surrounding explosions. For the Xbox Live Arcade upgrade, Q Entertainment will be adding 5.1 surround sound and the usual high definition visuals, as well as a new "Wiz ur Muzik" mode where players can add their own music for a customized experience. Extreme will also include full online multiplayer game modes for competitive play, and the usual assortment of achievements and leaderboards. No pricing or date information has yet been released, but Every Extend Extra Extreme is expected before the end of the year.
