GRAW 2: Nowhere Map "Exclusive" Download

Recommended Posts

Just picked up my copy of GRAW2 earlier today.

I did not get to play much at all yet, but the first thing I noticed is when you get to the main menu screen, there are 3 options.

Campaign, Multiplayer, and Exclusive Map

Naturally, I chose Exclusive Map right away.

What this does is let you log onto Ubisoft's servers and download an additional multiplayer map, Nowhere to be exact.

The ?Nowhere? map is a mountainous ghost town in the middle of nowhere, featuring junkyards and abandoned buildings. Points of thick cover are separated by stretches of open area, making tactical choices essential to success. The lighting is mid-day, and it is suitable for 6 to 12 players.

Above taken from this page I found that is an FAQ about the Exclusive Map.

I am letting everyone know this as I suggest if you do not already have a Ubisoft Account, go to their website and sign up for an account first, as entering all of that information to setup a new account without a keyboard through the 360 really is not fun.

Link to Ubisoft Site To Register An Account.

It does not say anything about it being for a limited time only, but who knows. Just wanted to give everyone the heads up.

cool...im debating getting this game or MLB...dunno

Well what I can say so far, and all I did was play the training for about 10 minutes, but also based on both Demos, is this should really be called GRAW 1.5. It is truly just GRAW 1 fined tuned extremely, extremely well.

The graphics are just that much better, which means they look absolutely outstanding. I felt, especially when it was released, that the first GRAW was really the first game to showcase the 360's graphic capabilities, and this game is no different, it looks phenomenal.

Performance seems better overall, which I never had many issues with the first one, but it does feel that much smoother.

Finally they have added some enhancements and slight tweaks and additions that took what was IMO a great game, and just made it that much better. Controlling the UAV manually being an example of what I mean.

I personally loved the first GRAW, so to me this was a no brainer.

If it was truly worth the $60, I will not know until I have played through the entire SP campaign, which I usually do first before I hop online. However honestly if I play the MP the same amount of hours I played the MP in the first GRAW, which I have a feeling I may play it even more, then without a doubt it was worth every penny to me just for the MP alone.

But if you are looking for a whole new game, as I am sure you already know, it is not that. It literally is just a fined tuned version of the first GRAW.

Thanks for the mini review...by the way, it's on sale at circuit city for 49.99, and you can get 10% price match at best buy :D

Some dirty man named Larry convinced me to buy GRAW 2...or was it that I had extra money from working mad over time?

Hmmm.....maybe it was both. Guess I'll wait for MLB 08 or until someone besides Chris on my Live buddies owns the game :D

:::ubisoft servers are slow as hell right now...trying to get that exclusive map :/

Hello Mr. Larry!

I've never played any GRAW Games on the Xbox 360, only the PC Version ( Loved it ).

How are they, realism compared - Do you know? I'm really fond of Rainbow Six: Vegas because it has the great Realism/Fun balance,

I am too worried GRAW is gonna be too much Run-and-Gun Arcade shooter?

Nice. I believe you will not be disappointed. Once I get myself comfortable with things again, will definitely look you up on live.

While GRAW is slightly less realistic than R6:V, it is still pretty damn realistic. Also you can change the setting to be very realistic, which I have never even done, but I did see it as an option last night when I started. It is not a Run-N-Gun shooter by any means, no doubt about that. You have to be very strategic about things. Run-N-Gun, and you will die in seconds. At least that was the case with GRAW 1, so I see no reason it would be the same deal with GRAW2.

If you enjoyed them on the PC, I can say confidently you will enjoy it on the 360 as well. (Y)

That screams bad disk all the way. Just for kicks and giggles make sure the disk is completely clean, I have seen just a simple smudge from my finger tip cause such issues.

Other than that, take it back for another copy, as something is not right. I have not even had close to a freeze yet with the game. Good Luck. (Y)

Also, I thought everyone might find the summary from the Official XBox Magazine review interesting (I am just typing it out):

[*]? Deepest, richest multiplayer experience yet on the 360.

[*]? Excellent solo campaign with none of GRAW's annoyances

[*]? Feels a bit more like a glorified expansion than a full sequel

[*]? Now that Recon's graphics evolved, when will it's A.I.?Score 9.0.0

FTR, MLB2k7 got a 7.5

Hey Larry I appreciate your help and I"ll surely lookin to maybe getting another disc but after I posted here I jumped over to ubisofts GRAW Forum and this issue doesn't seem to be a small one.

Damn, that really does suck. After seeing that I feel silly giving my advice of making sure the disk is clean.

Just curious, did you try deleting your save file as mentioned in the thread? Although it was only a few people that said it work, it did work for a very few, so it is worth a shot at least.

Rainbow 6 Vegas is a lot LESS realistic than GRAW 2.

Blind firing? Hollywood style cover system? Health regeneration?

None of those are in the slightest bit realistic.

True. I should have clarified my statement, as I was really talking about the amount of shots one can take before they die.

You can take just a few more shots in GRAW than you can R6:Vegas, and when I saw a few, I mean three or five.

Well I am new, but I want to talk about GRAW 2.

It is so amazing and probably the best damn shooter I have ever seen. I got it when it came out as I slept next to the video game stores door.

I couldn't wait to play it and while I am at work all I think about doing is playing this game. It is so damn addictive, as was the first one.

I love the clan support, but I wish that they had a leaderboard. So I guess this Clan support they have is for managing your clan and if you wanted a rank or leaderboard you would have to sign up to game battles or something.

The graphics are awesome, better then oblivion! Now that is saying something.

Everyone needs to get this game if they have a 360.

I have had no problems, except for lagging out and not being able to hold more then 10 people in the server or they would lag out, but that is what I get for having comcast as my service provider.

Best game in the world!
