Spartan_X
Halo 3 Could Ship in September By: C?sar A. Berardini - "Cesar" Mar. 15th, 2007 10:44 am In an interview with 1up, Shane Kim has revealed that Microsoft won?t ship any first-party title in October, as that is the release month for Rockstar?s Grand Theft Auto IV. That forces the software giant to release Project Gotham Racing 4 and Halo 3 in either September or November. Lost Odyssey has already been scheduled for release in December. At first, it?d make sense to have PGR 4 launching in September and then Halo 3 coming out in its traditional November date. But as the general manager of Microsoft Game Studios points out, having Halo 3 coming in September could be an op"We don't tell Bungie when they have to ship Halo 3." Kim told 1up. "If they can get out before GTA4, they probably feel like that's better, sort of like Xbox 360 coming out before PlayStation 3." t; Can Halo 3 sell well if it is released so early? Kim believes so. "What happened in September of 2004? In September of 2004 we released Fable, Fable got big sales and then in November got big sales again," Kim said. "I just believe great titles can get the double bump and I think Halo 3 is going to be that."Source:ce: TeamXbox
MadFerIt
I would still count on November. That's the month Halo 1 (along with the xbox itself) and Halo 2 were released. Plus it would be the 2 year anniversary of the 360, and the 6th year anniversary of the Halo series. Just my opinion of course, but it does make sense to follow what's become tradition. Not to mention it gives them an extra month of optimizing. Edited March 15, 2007 by MadFerIt2006

Remysaus
i don't care when they ship it, tomorrow or in 2009, as long as they take the time they need to make it the game everybody's expecting.
Nightz
i'm counting on november. it would be nice if they got it out in september, as long as they don't rush it and release a sub-par product.

"I just believe great titles can get the double bump and I think Halo 3 is going to be that." I doubt Halo 3 will be a double bump. It'll be one massive blowout the day it's released, and then just sell well all through the holidays. It'll be November. +1 nooooooooo, not another rushed halo! It'll be three years this November. I hardly call that rushed, and I doubt Bungie thinks that either. And don't come back with the, "Well Halo 2 took three years also" because that's bogus. Halo 2 took a year and a half to make a demo that didn't work as a game, and a year and a half to make the game we have today from scratch after that initial botching of the game (from the LE DVD). -Spenser
troist
i hope november... i'd much prefer them to take 2 months extra just tweaking it a bit than rushing it out

I want September so I won't be distracted with online play and be able to dedicate some time to Lost Odyssey.

P!P
PGR4 = September Halo 3 = November Microsoft is very... dateish. They like dates. It will be November. I really don't think Microsoft is too worried about other games. Halo 3 will dominate.
