Remysaus
i thought this was known months ago? :p anyhow, I'm going for limited edition, the legendary seems to be waaaay too expensive for the extra's you get. besides, one of my pals will get legendary so I'll just borrow his extra dvd's sometime :p
magik
This isn't news. Anyway, I'll be going for the standard edition most likely.
PL_ Veteran Posted March 16, 2007 Veteran Share Posted March 16, 2007 Limited FTW. Standard is just what everyone gets, and I loves to be an elitist bitch :p Legendary is just money wasted IMO.

BajiRav
Makes me sad that I won't be buying Legendary. I would've loved to get the extra information about Halo. (don't care about helmet) so probably will go with Limited. On a lighter note, I hope the standard edition does not come with all fancy graphics turned off ala Home Basic. :D Spartan_X, are there any "N" editions planned for EU ?
magik
I did not know this! That sucks! Why is everything Microsoft coming out in a bazillion versions? Yea, that's true. It's not just Microsoft now, though. It seems as though they have started a trend as of late. PS3 2SKUs, Adobe Photoshop CS3 2SKUs, etc. Likewise with the "360" bit: Yahoo! 360, Norton 360, etc. Oh, Microsoft, you trend-setter. :p
Neo003
I just got the email from GameStop/EBGames they changed my order of Halo 3 Legendary Edition from 99.99 to 129.99. I would keep as it is, I would love to have high quality cut sequence of the first 2 halo games.
MadFerIt
Legendary edition is $149.99 here in Canada. No thanks, that's more then a PS2 costs! But I will most likely pick up the Limited edition, since I did the same for Halo 2.
Dirk
It makes me sad that I am actually going to spend 130 dollars on a game.
AlphaPrime
Damn, what happened to the $50 first party limit. Oh well, I'll just get the Standard Edition as I don't really care about the extras.
MGS4-SS
Talk about milking :D I'll get the standard version, the Lengedary Version's helmet is too small.
Nightz
Talk about milking :DI'll get the standard version, the Lengedary Version's helmet is too small. lol if i were to pay that much for the legendary version, i would at least expect a helmet that you can actually wear ;)
stanley porkchop
Legendary Edition seems way overpriced :/ Disappointing. Limited edition seems to be the way to go (Y)
Meshuggah
wow...overpriced...they are full of ****ing ****...i thought it was 99.99, not 129.99. I'll pass now. I'm so glad I didn't pre-order that overpriced piece of ****
George P Global Moderator Posted March 16, 2007 Global Moderator Share Posted March 16, 2007 Legendary and even Limited aren't for everyone, just the hardcore Halo fans. MS knows this, and that's why they're taking advantage of it. If it wasn't as big of a game as it is, we'd only have 1 version and that'd be the end of it. It'd be nice if we could get detailed sales information for each of the 3 SKUs though, I'd be interested in seeing which sells more.
+dnast Subscriber² Posted March 17, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted March 17, 2007 Damn, what happened to the $50 first party limit. Oh well, I'll just get the Standard Edition as I don't really care about the extras. I was wondering the same thing. People were saying GeOW was $60 because it wasn't developed in-house, but I wasn't going to put it past MS to ignore their $50 price limit for Halo 3. I'll be buying it, of course, but I hope they stick to $50 for their other titles. It made choosing titles such as Kameo and Viva Pinata an easier decision for me. salis
whoa $130? I pre-ordered thinking it would be $100 tops, dunno if i want that one now.
DR3AMxCATCHER
As everyone has said, now that legendary is $130 it's bit too high. I'm thinking about passing on, don't know yet.
