HawkMan
hmm I tried searching the net, but I couldnt' find anyone else that has the some problem much less a solution. For some reaosn when playing DVD's on the 360 I get these horizontal shadow/light lines. seeing as it works perfectly to play games and Media center content without gettign these I don't understand it. They also don't seem very consistent, they're not in scenes where you would expect such defects like an almost comepltely dark scene with a bright element. Anyoen had a similar problem and got a solution? I tried sending a mail to the Xbox360 support thing, and hopefully I'll get a response, but usually it's faster from other sources :)
ynnoj
Via component/composite or VGA?
HawkMan
Component. 720p I tried switching the cable over to TV instead of HDTV. and it doesn't do it then. so it's only when it does the upscalign then. if I set it to 480p when it's on HDTV in the setup of the xbox, it still does it though. And it's not like I'm goign to go behind my xbox and flip it between TV and HDTV every time I want to watch a DVD. I mean if it allways did this on HDTV component cables set to HDTV, I should have heard of it before. oh and just so I'm not confusing the Cables again, it's the 3 cbales, the red green and blue ones. I tend to mic up the ocmponent and composite names at times :)
