All i wanna know, is it OK to use this instead of shutting down, and could this cause any damage to the hardware!? Thanks! NeYo Oh! BTW... Err... i had 2 format and restart a Lil' while back, and since installing XP, it doesn't auto switch the PC off anymore..!? it worked on the previous install.... any ideas!? AlexMC Posted January 4, 2002 Share Posted January 4, 2002 To Get the pc to autoswitch off : Go to: Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Computer Management. Then select "Device Manager" view->Show Hiddden Devices After doing this and in Device Manager activate "NT APM/Legacy Support" by doing a right click and choosing activate.
