Check out my game!

Question

Hey guys,

This is a go-kart game I've been working on for a while to learn shockwave and programming. Let me know what you guys think (however, please don't say "you should do this to it, or that to it" because i don't want to work on it anymore... it was just a learning project.)

You can check it out here

(it's about 1.5mb, and you will need a decent graphics card to play it smoothly)

Wow!

Not bad for somethin you just put together as a test.. you could really develop that into a fully fledged Shockwave game if you got all the physics and stuff sorted out, and added extra tracks and stuff.

But yeah.. thats very cool indeed :)

here's a tip for some getting odd performance, and the other cars being unrealistically faster than you....right click and make the graphics renderer directX 7. the default is software rendering causing poor performance.

no the default renderer is set to auto. it will pick what it thinks is the best renderer for your system.

and also, you used to be able to fly alot more but i fixed that up a bit. You can sometimes fly though, if you fly into the air at the right angle ;)

yeh, you can go through the other cars. i decided not to make them a rigid body because it would slow the game down alot.

xStainDx, what do you mean about the red x? where is that? sounds like something is missing from your pc that's in the shockwave.

woww jus saw the screenie :D

How quality. I tried Director once (which is i think what u use to do shockwave stuff) and i could make a sphere move lol. Thats the extent of my Shockwave skills :D

Anyone who cud do sommit like that in shockwave should definatly take it further :)

*grumbles*

gotta install shockwave. I wish they would let u download it as a file to manually run, so much easier than this after each format :(
