curme
My new job is at a place that only has dial-up. So I plugged into my onboard modem and whenever I visit a webpage, I get this message www.google.com has sent an incorrect or unexpected message. Error Code: -12263 It only happens on webpages where I have to log in (amazon, yahoo, etc.) and I'm unable to log on. I cleared all of my private data, and have the latest version of Firefox. Maxthon works fine. Any ideas on how to get Firefox to work again?

curme
That was a great idea to try (I should of though of it), but it didn't work. I'm still getting the same error messages even with a completely new profile. :(

curme
Hey, this worked! If you're using a manual proxy, make sure "Use this proxy for all protocols" and "SSL proxy" in "Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network / Connection -> Settings" (Firefox 2) or "Tools -> Options -> General -> Connection Settings" (Firefox 1.5 or earlier) are set to the correct values. Thanks a lot! :D
