Windam
Alright so I got hyped up about Neoadorable's idea on hooking up a reciever. The deal is that I got 2 speaker systems 1) Optimus Speakers with a subwoofer and 2 speakers no reciever 2) I got a Bose 5.1 speaker system back from 2000 (the one that looks like PS3 in silver) with a huge ass subwoofer. There's a chance I won't be able to use the bose willing my parents decision lies in that. My question to you is, should I stick with my optimus speaker system hooked up to my PC or should I go buy a $100 logitech setup. I need something economical since I'll be spending around $640 on the 360.
goji
Normally I would suggest ditching the Bose and getting something else, but it may be your best option if you can keep them. Its going to be hard to say, play with what you have, and if you honestly feel you can get better with a mere 100 dollars, spend the money. IMO, 100 might not go far. Kinda up to you at that point I think.
neoadorable
cool, glad you were inspired as well. it's so good to have decent sound with this baby, she's quite a rocker when given the chance. what you need is a proper amp or receiver and two good speakers. this setup can be had for around 200 bucks new, but i'm sure someone you know has it lying around a garage/basement somewhere, languishing in pre-surround hell. salvage and save, my friend. if not possible, use your existing hardware but make sure it's got AV's at least...lots of stuff made for PC's doesn't. Windam
well teh deal is I plan on using the VGA HD Cables and the 2 extra wires beside the monitor port are red and white gold plates, it hooks directly into the subwoofer of my optimus so I might now have any problems there.
