American Ninja
Looks like. When asked over at the Official Microsoft forum in this topic weather or not adding a HDMI port to the new ?Elite Xbox 360″ would require any code changes XNA developer Shawn Hargreaves said quite simply ?No changes required.?*GASP* does that mean the legend is true about the Elite 360? What do you all think new Elite Xbox 360 confirmed? Source: http://nextgengamer.wordpress.com/2007/03/...t-confirm-hdmi/ What do you think guys? I think this pretty well confirms it for me lol It's comin:woot::woot:
jerzdawg
I was under the impression it has already been confirmed.... at least just as much as this guy in a forum confirms....

jerzdawg
i guess some people didn't read the other long ass post about this lol well.. its not the same "confirmation" so he thought a new thread would be good... anyway to comment on the article.. .while it pretty much is all but confirmed... the reply to the post in the original thread makes a good point "Doesn't really sound like a confirmation of HDMI to me, just a confirmation that HDMI and any other transports could be utilized within the XNA framework without changes to the underlying code. Not that I am not hoping for HDMI personally, but I think this post is being blown way out of proportion. I would think that eventually somewhere down the line the 360 would have HDMI AND the only changes would need to be within the framework not the end client code, which after reading the post above has me believe." Jeston Veteran Posted March 26, 2007 Veteran Share Posted March 26, 2007 well.. its not the same "confirmation" so he thought a new thread would be good... Actually, I posted this in the other thread. That's probably what Inplode is referring to. Needless to say I don't need HDMI yet, but I have been looking around for an HDTV finally. So, in the upcoming months I should be ready for this!

jerzdawg
i have hdmi on my tv but i use my 360 with my pc 22 inch lcd so i really dont need hdmi well the people with the HDTVs that only accept 1080p over HDMI do need this if they want the whole full 1080p thing... very few HDTVs support 1080p over component and i know some TVs only support a certain resolution through the VGA input... Brandon Live Veteran Posted March 26, 2007 Veteran Share Posted March 26, 2007 Most of the first 1080p DLPs only support it over VGA (not over HDMI at all). Strange, but true.
Hupp
Most of the first 1080p DLPs only support it over VGA (not over HDMI at all). Strange, but true. true, too bad a lot of the newer DLP's such as my sony display only support 720p over vga and then because its native 1080p it doesn't fill the entire tv :(
