kingroach
My 360 just died but I have a 2 yr replacement warranty. I opened the sales receipt and it says that: "To obtain a replacement product or replacement voucher visit www.bestbuy.com/replacementplan or call 1-888-539-6883... do not return th eproduct to the store..." I thought that I oculd just go to the store with my 360 and show them the receipt and they will give me a new one.. The reason I bought the warranty is because I dont want to deal with Ms customer service bs.. now I have to deal with best buy.. does anyone have any experience on getting a new replacement 360 from best buy?.. kingroach
I will probably take it to the store.. and see what happens.. 360 is really POS compared to other systems but I still like it.. This one is my 3rd 360, first bought launch 360 from Sears, it had problem after a week.. got another had problems after a month.. So I returned it and got my money back.. Bought one from best buy with warranty and it lasted for about 8-9 months..
AmpCoder
I had an iPod with a warranty like that from BestBuy. I took it back to the store after it died and they told me to call the number on the back. I called the number and they told me that they would ship me a box to ship the iPod back in and then I would get a voucher back in so many weeks. Well, I did that and I ended up getting a voucher back for $349 + price of the warranty. Not that bad, but you just have to wait.
kingroach
Did you cash it or it was like a store credit?..
bangbang023 Veteran Posted March 27, 2007 Veteran Share Posted March 27, 2007 You can take it to the store. I work at BB and PRP's can be walked in, though they prefer if people call it in. You'll be fine.
+dnast Subscriber² Posted March 27, 2007 Subscriber² Share Posted March 27, 2007 Heh, I've never called Best Buy to return or replace a product. I honestly didn't know you were supposed to. I just go straight to the customer service desk and I get a replacement in no time. That's the reason I chose to buy my 360 w/ PRP at Best Buy in the first place - and boy am I glad I did.
