Shivering Isles IS NOW OUT on Marketplace!

Once I get bored of GRAW 2, which may be a few months the way it is going, but when I do, if I have some time I am going to give Oblivion another whirl. Elder Scrolls originally came out about 4 days into my fiances (then just gf of 4 years) 12 day trip to the the Philippines where she was born, so I had plenty of free time to play it that initial week. I got into it somewhat, then stopped playing for about two weeks, and completely forgot what was going on and never played again. This expansion really has my interest in the game sparked again, especially since I can start over and just go right into it. Might wait a few months to see if it drops in price though too. ;)

Guys it won't show up as "new game" content. You have to visit the "All Games Downloads" section and then oblivion.. It doesn't appear in any the new downloads lists for some odd reason.

NO It's NOT pricey, It's a WHOLE Expansion Pack.

It's got 1/4 (25%) the size of Oblivion, and 30-40+ hours of Gameplay

New NPCs

New Monsters

New Magic

New Loots

New Ingredients

i doubt the price will drop, as nothing on XBLA has ever gone down in price nor on the regular marketplace (besides a few introductory sales)

Actually it is a bit pricey. Even taking into account the large content. When you compare the price and what it gives you compared to "Oblivion" which is what, $50 U.S.?

If it's 1/4 the size of Oblivion, yet it's more then 50% the price of Oblivion, that just doesn't work out :p. But I'll still end up buying it I'm sure, at least when I get my 360 issues resolved.

You CAN'T Compare that way...

There are many NEW games that comes out come WAY less than 10 hours for $60

Oblivion was the Best Game on Xbox 360, period. IMO, it was BETTER all the other games!

We can't take it for granted just because the base game is 200+ hours of game, we want expansion to match that Ratio, that would be US being Greedy :)

Most of the expansion packs are around $29.99 very rarely $9.99 or $19.99

So, NO it isn't expensive... out of all the Damn Overprices on Marketplace I am complaining about, this is just NOT one of them!!!

1 GB? Ouch. It is tied to your account as a "purchase" so you can re-download later if you choose to delete to clear up space, or get a new 360 HD when larger ones are available...right? I think I currently only have 1GB free.

Those B&M'ing about the price are probably teenagers who aren't making enough $$$ from flipping hunks o dead animal at McD's, or they are making enough $$$ but aren't being responsible enough with the $$$ to budget it right. If not [a teenager], they are not very responsible adults.

Anywho, it's actually not that bad a deal. Why? Look at expansion packs for PC games. They typically cost ~33-50% of the original game. This expansion is no different.

If you think the expansion is too pricey, don't pay for it, simple as that. I'm sure there will be at least 3+ people buying it for every 1 that B&M's about it and doesn't buy it.

I'm not necessarily targeting you, but you made me bring up the point: Why do people always assume that the only reason others don't like a price is because they cannot afford it? If gas went up to $6/gal. in Florida would you be fine with it simply because you're "being responsible enough with the $$$ to budget it right"? (I'm only using you as an example.)

Personally, I feel that the expansion is a little overpriced but only because it's download-only right now for the 360. It wouldn't seem that high if I could purchase a physical copy and potentially sell it if I wanted to. I may still buy it since it's one of my most enjoyed games for the past couple of years (and even though I've only finished 2 quest lines in the original game), but it doesn't mean I agree with their pricing scheme.
