Sil9
This happens occasionally, but mostly when I'm in a game full-screen. Only way out of it is to reboot. Basically when I press E, Explorer opens, R opens the Run window, F, Find window, etc. Did some googling, tried some suggestions from this site but they didn't work (http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=1245087&page=6). I'm using the MS IntelliType Pro drivers/software and the Windows key is disabled. OS: XP Home. I am using a keyboard adapter tho. Any suggestions? Kraftman
It sounds like your Windows key is getting somehow (software or hardware) stuck pressed down. Win + R = Run Win + E = Explorer Win + F = Find etc etc
google123
the problem is called stickykeys, part of the accessibility options of windows. when on your desktop, press the shift key five times fast in a row. you will get a box called stickykeys. there is a settings button, click on that then click on the settings button next to use stickykeys and make sure to clear the box that enables the shortcut to stickykeys, which is pressing shift 5 times in a row. doing this will deactivate stickykeys. this means that when you are in the game and have pressed the shift key five times, the stickykeys won't be activated anymore. Sil9
Ok, Stickykeys is disabled, but I don't think if it's directly causing the window pop-ups. Anyways, thanks. Hopefully, it will stop now.
