Hum Posted April 11, 2007 Share Posted April 11, 2007 WINNIPEG (CP) -- One of Canada's leading UFO researchers says there were 736 reported sightings across the country last year. Chris Rutkowski says the 2006 Canadian UFO Survey recorded the third-largest number of sightings in its 17-year history and shows there's still a great deal of interest in unexplained phenomena in the sky. British Columbia and Ontario had the highest number of recorded cases, but Saskatchewan posted an all-time record of 98 sightings. The tiny town of Maidstone just east of the Alberta boundary accounted for more than half of the Saskatchewan sightings. The most mysterious cases include a huge, black V-shaped object moving slowly over the Newfoundland coastline last August.
