image gallery / lightbox

Question

Berserk87    49

im looking for a simple gallery script that automatically does thumbnails for w/e images folders its pointing at, without the script being in the images folder.

all the simple ones that i find and do what i want arnt working if there not in the same folder with the images, so.... it gets messy since the photos arnt organized.

what i plan on doing is using this simple gallery script and putting lightbox with it.

micro photo image gallery.

http://www.hotscripts.com/Detailed/69080.html

and its not just this script i tried changing it on other scripts and it wouldnt work either.

right now its opendir(".") so that it reads all the images out of the folder the script is in, but when i changed parts of the script to point at the images folder, it stoped working. =\

are you testing it on a webserver or locally?

if your not trying it locaaly, do as the any permission problems shouldn't be such a problem, then you'll know that:

a) the script will do what you want and;

b) if its folder permissions that are the problem.

If the script is run from the folder with the images then there are less folder permissions required in comparison if your trying to run the script on a different folder?
