serious
Hey I recon there is a setting in Preferences > Advances > Tabs > [Open links next to active] (I'm using a Swedish version, so bare with me) to use for all new tabs (my middle mouse button is set to Open links in background). However, I want most new links to open up in the background in sequential order, i.e. just like they do when [Open links next to active] is not activated, except for a few I want to be opened up next to my active tab (for example by holding Shift or alt, or for that matter using a gesture/mouse button). Can this be done? I hope I made myself understood; it's kind of hard to explain... :) In sum Normally: new tabs should open up in sequential order Holding a key/gesture: new tabs should open up next to the active one
shoust
Its not possible with a modifier. Thing is when you toggle a command, you can only do it once per event. Meaning if you did use a modifier, the setting would be toggled once meaning you'd either get the off or on setting at one time. However setting this as a keyboard shortcut will allow you to toggle the setting. Set Preference, "User Prefs|Open Page Next To Current=1" > Set Preference, "User Prefs|Open Page Next To Current=0"
