I have pair of 512MB mixed RAM running in dual-channel configuration on my computer now, and feel that it might be worht an upgrade. The only problem is that I can't decide if I should settle for 2 GB RAM total in DC or if I should go for 3 GB RAM total, if I buy a 1024 MB module now and another one later during summer or so. What I am unsure about is if I can run dual-channel on the two 512 MB module and single channel for the 1024 module at the same time, or if I must have 4x512 MB modules to run Dual-channel. Any opinions or pro's con's would be helpful. I am not buying any extreme DDR. My options are as follows: Target config: 512 + 512 + 1024 and later add an 1024 more.. or 512 + 512 + 512 + 512, where I can but the last pair soon.
