Somnus
Which version of FireFox are you using? Currently I am using the latest version but I in the latest versions I have noticed it is getting more and more sluggish, yet my extensions are the same. I am thinking of reverting back to version 1.5.0.11 until things change, but I thought I would see if many people even use that version any more.. WhoTheF
2.0.0.3 I think 1.5 was pretty cool. But I am pretty much used to this one now.

Somnus
2.0.0.3And if it's growing sluggish without you adding anything then something's wrong. That is exactly what I thought as well. Something _is_ wrong. I went to the Mozillazine forums and there has been some regressions in the code where memory is not being released when you close tabs. It is worse when you use extensions like Tab Mix Plus and Tab Browser Preferences. Even if you remove these extensions, the problem still exists with using tabs. clear your browser cache I don't use a cache at all. There is no need for one with broadband internet. HA!, sure there is, your hard drive is still many times faster than any internet connection (or do you have a 100Mbps+ internet connection?) Anyway, start with a clean, fresh profile, and move your extensions over one by one, if you suddenly start seeing slowdowns when you install an extension, you've found the culprit. I have tried several levels of cache in the past and never noticed any difference in speed. From 1 to 8 to 20 to 50. Nothing changed. I also recently just did what you suggested. I created a new profile, and installed one extension at a time to see if there was a specific culprit. Other than the normal slight slowdown by Adblock Plus, nothing changed again. If I install version 1.5.0.11, everything is so fast it is incredible. It is definitely something to do with the latest versions of FF.

SnowRanger13
2.0.0.3 the one thing that bugs me and I think its suppose to be like this is when you hit / to do a quick search there is no next and last button for the search unless you go "edit -> find on this page" theres a short cut for it to but I got so useto just using /, not a huge deal I guess :p.
